Watch out for ebay seller solpa_44. Selling COUNTERFEIT MIURA 'S on Ebay. (*** MERGED ***)

This is so embarrassing but it's better that I post so that another won't get conned. 

 

I recently bought some Muira CB-302 Looks like the Miura CB-302 I bought from solpa_44 on eBay is a counterfeit.  After seeing some threads on this forum, I did some digging and the ones I got from solpa_44 is a counterfeit. His real name is Solmin Park based on PayPal info. 

 

1st sign is that like someone mentioned, the number font looks like it's the counterfeit being sold on Ali Express.   2nd sign is that the grooves on my cb-302 is identical to the counterfeit ones sold on Ali Express. 3rd sign is that the head covers are identical to the counterfeit being sold on Ali Express. 

 

This is really really embarrassing but I think it's right thing to so there is less victims like me. 

 

Looks like anything he sells is counterfeit. 

 

He has another counterfeit listed on eBay.  I reported.

He may not know if they are fake as he seems to sell a lot of clubs over the years from a variety of brands. Probably worth reaching out to him in the first place and see his response before going through eBay to say you’ve been sold a fake.

Already did.  I really wish he didn't but based in his reaction, he knows what he is doing.  Already filed a claim with PayPal.  

 

Main thing for this post to make sure there are no other victims like me.

Have you tried contacting Ebay? I thought their price protection policy is supposed to cover you in these situations.

Unfortunately, I bought outside of ebay but I did use PayPal and have filed a claim.  Let's see what they say.

Usually, numbers in the authentic ones have slightly thicker font and if you look at the grooves closely, counterfeit ones doesn't go all the way to the heel of the face. The authentic ones, there is barely any gap in the grooves.  PX LZ is another shaft counterfeit ones come with often.  

It's pretty scary.

I know it's been a while since I posted about this.  As of week or so ago, I got a partial refund from seller.  I could have gotten full refund but for various different reasons, seller and I negotiated and settled on the amount. 

 

For people who use PayPal to purchase things, one thing I would recommend is in comment section, please be as detailed as possible in terms of what you are buying.  If you have issues, it could help with dispute. 

 

It did take a while but PayPal came through. 

 

This was a lesson learned. Really need to be careful out there.  Always buy from reputable seller with good track record.  Especially if it's expensive golf products.

Why would you keep them with a partial refund? That does nothing to help fix the problem of counterfeit clubs on eBay. Seller is going to keep selling them if they can get away with it.

Yes, he know what he was doing and the set I got is exactly like JS golf .

I came across a Miura seller golfinggalleria from lawrenceville GA before I found this thread. I purchased new KM700 heads I immediately get a message that he doesn’t have them in stock, although he shows 3 sets available and they “just sold”.  Seller offers me Gikens instead and as a compensation he can give me the head covers like the Ali’s express pictures above. Red flag.  He said normally 4-6 weeks for an order from Japan but can rush the order for $75.  I asked if he could provide purchase order information and was told   I can't share a picture of my order as there is an nda among the dealers and I don't really get much update from Japanese international shipping too. I just know it takes about 2 weeks to get here with rush orders.   Fair.  So I asked if they could be shipped directly to me, answer is no.  I then decided to search “Miura Lawrenceville GA” and came across this thread.  I immediately asked for a refund and the seller became agitated and asked me for a “valid reason” for refund. Seller wouldn’t tell me his name and  I then said I was getting eBay involved.  He left it as “have fun you’re blocked”.  I was ultimately refunded. The interaction was just too shady and what are the odds multiple lawrenceville, Georgia legitimate Miura eBay sellers out there?
