Liked the 1st ep of White Lotus S.3 a lot.

Came to ask if you’d checked out any of new Reacher season yet. It’s ok so far but seems a bit “campy” or something.

And funny you mention WL, we never saw it then once we saw a few episodes recently , ended up binging both seasons lol. 2nd season was crazy good.

Saw 1st episode of new season, great “surprise” guest showed up!

I have watched first 2 seasons of Reacher. It’s okay, don’t love it.

First episode of Reacher S3 was very campy but good for mindless entertainment. Having a British actress butcher a Maine accent is a hoot though!

Haven't started it yet. Great cast but some pretty negative reviews

And more on the “pretty negative reviews”. I’ve found I like a fair amount of stuff w/less than stellar reviews. And vice versa don’t like other stuff with great reviews. One that comes to mind. I couldn’t make it half way through that ‘hot dog fingers’ movie!  I believe it won best picture! Haha

Understood and agree. Glad you liked it cause I'm on the fence about watching it, mosty due to the subject matter, not the reviews. And never had ANY desire to see Everything, Everywhere if that's the movie you're referring to

I tried to get into Reacher, but couldn't get through the first season. It was just too cheesy.

We started watching Severance on apple TV last week by accident. It is a really bizarre show, but it's like a train wreck that you cant look away from. We are currently caught up and waiting on the next episode to come out.

We have also been watching a show called Prime Target. It is another weird one. So far, it has been pretty slow, and I'm hoping it gets to some kind of point soon, lol.

Yesterday, we started (and finished) Zero Day. Not a bad show.

Too many crappy shows, too little time

I'll repeat my previous recommendations of 2 of the best shows of the year -

Say Nothing

Apple Cider Vinegar

Both based on books about true stories. Very well done although subject matter makes them a little tough to watch at times

We started Say Nothing, but only got a few episodes in before ADHD pushed my to something else. I keep meaning to go back to it.

"Reacher" Season 3 is like a live action cartoon but no real edge to it at all, IMO.  Season 1 was okay, Season 2 less so. Honestly, although smaller in stature than the Reacher of the books, Cruise was a better version - the lead in the TV series looks like he should have been in "Spartacus" and not the world's best actor, and now they've found a hulking guy bigger than him.  The protagonist in the books is no body builder, haha. We were laughing when we looked up his "boss" in this one and realized he was the nerdy guy in Molly Ringwald movies long ago. Saw a "Banshee" reference up above - although it got a bit tired towards the end and ended in a rush because of being canceled - the first many episodes of that were terrific and loved watching it - premise was unbelievable, but well done and sort of made you believe.

Tonight is a TV wasteland and I'm not keen on any of the Oscar nominees - looks like a decent, old James Coburn movie on TCM for us.

Agree this season of Reacher is even worse than S2, which is saying something.

Highly recommend Paradise on Hulu. Terrific show, one of the best this year. But don't read anything about it first.

Reacher S3 is so bad I’m enjoying it. Did they purposely use the worst actors they could find??? 🤔 lol

Def enjoying Paradise.

My GF says WL is boring but I’m enjoying it. The pressure is building and I’m here for it. And as stated above, would watch for just the scenery/cinematography alone.

Anthony Michael Hall is a movie icon for my generation (explains a lot 😂) Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science & NL Vacation are all classics in the genre

Hated White Lotus, assuming that's what WL stands for. Up there with Perfect Couple as one of the most God awful shows my wife made me watch haha
