Scratching the police procedural/thriller itch nicely. I'd skip the trailer as it gives away things early in the season that made the pacing and characters a lot more interesting coming as surprises. First episode will give a good feel if it's your bag or not.

 

Having Lance Reddick in the supporting cast calling out people on their mess is always welcome. Gonna miss him in those roles.

 

Bosch is dope! One of the best for sure. You got a ton of good watchin in front of you 
 

No spoilers but you’ll see that characters and plots get very intertwined and complicated, include Lance Reddicks role. Mimi Rodgers is great too, her character develops a lot over the seasons.

We watched that one too. Such an odd show. We watched all of it. The whole time, we kept saying "what a strange show", yet, we kept watching.

My son said it well “it’s off putting”. But so well done. 
While watching I can’t help but to feel it’s some sort of warning for humanity… 🤔

Through S4 currently. Don't normally binge so hard but it's paced similarly to the books I'd guess, so you're always left wanting to know what comes next. I did read the show actually mixes up the plot from the books quite a bit, so good job by the writers and individual directors as well as Connelly for still keeping it coherent and feeling like it was lifted directly from a well-paced novel. 

 

Seems like they took more liberties with Legacy from a quick search, and possibly rushed it to minimize lag in getting it out for a number of reasons. May have suffered for those choices. 

 

Amazon can be hit and miss with their productions anyway. Reacher fell off hard after S1 but seems to be going back in the right direction with S4. There are a LOT of things going on with TV and movies right now that can make it hard to deliver consistent quality.

True, but Legacy was still very watchable and better than a lot of other stuff on TV. With the exception of Mimi Rogers in the last season - brutal

Watched ‘Mountainhead’ on Max last night. It was a tuff watch for sure. Message is interesting and current. But the execution is pretty brutal. Was hoping for more from a Steve Carell project 😐

Pee Wee Herman doc on HBO/Max is pretty good. Loved his Saturday Playhouse show & Big Adventure movie. Both are still really funny.

Yeah, i know, they do go into that stuff and part of his motivation to do doc was to tell his side of things. I'm one to be highly forgiving of the talented in their behavior. My feeling is, people so committed to what they do often short change other aspects of their life, so i can separate the work from the individual more than most would.

The Fall on Prime is a very well done murder series from 2015 , Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dorman, bit more disturbing than Dept Q but top notch all around.

Fin. The entire series was good... until the last episode. There were a few plot holes in the final season because of the rush as they had to get it out before the Covid shutdown, but mostly they're survivable until what they did with episode 8. 

 

Bosch and Irving's characters both going off the reservation didn't work very well at all. Suddenly Bosch was willing to throw everything out the window to get one bad guy with no regard for blowing up something that would literally wipe out an entire network of dealers, traffickers, and murderers, and lock up the heads of a major cartel? Not buying it. Irving now portrayed as nothing but a politician playing for more when for the entire series he has put the city and the police above himself, and made moves that are pretty much beyond reproach given the insight the audience has? Not buying it. Lot of nonsense around all that went on in the jail to move things along as well.

 

Then there's the Mt. Everest sized plot hole of Sonia's dad showing up like he does. Could not believe how off the episode was compared to the rest or that whoever was in charge signed off on closing the series out with it. Between where things were headed at the end and all I've read I'm just going to skip Legacy. Shame because the hitman arc built the drama and everything with the Lt coming to a head and being dealt with was cathartic. Thought they'd wrap it up like they started it.

Friends and Neighbors was definitely good. 

 

Funny, we started Stick as well. I think we watched the first 2 episodes and have moved on.

Stick was an outright embarrassment. We quit after ep 3, possibly the worst episode of scripted TV we've seen in years

Many years ago when she was on Attack of the Show on G4; she called out a web project I built ... that lead to the utter destruction of my infrastructure 😂

 

Infra was a whole lot harder (and expensive) in them days and I was absolutely not prepared for such a thing!

We started watching Sugar on Apple TV. It's a bit of a strange one, but not bad. It took a really weird, and kind of stupid, twist in the episode we watched yesterday, but not bad enough to quit watching it.
