He was excellent it The Fall, serial killer series with Gillian Anderson. Thats really good, it’s on Prime still I think

 

 

 

Saw both of those, and agree. Both were good shows. I personally preferred The Fall. 

 

We're watching Your Honor on netflix currently. Still on season one, I think 5-6 episodes in. Started off a little slow, but should get pretty interesting after the end of the episode we watched last night.

Good thread here, my wife is impressed with the viewing habits of the golf nerds. 

 

I am in the middle of Ep 2 of Stax Records on Max and I am really enjoying it.  The musiciians are the focus but It is about more than the music, and the music is fantastic.  I am watching this on my own.

 

We are also watching Your Honor, and that is also very entertaining if not a little anxiety producing.

just fyi ... mhz choice is dropping the first few episodes of season 4 tomorrow (or they have posted such on their website) ... they will drop the 12 episodes over the month into july, but drop them all they will ... can get it through amazon prime or presumably on its own with the app ... they have some very interesting foreign series that have gotten some acclaim ... and they have all three of the original swedish versions of the Girl with the Dragon Tatto series ... 

 

 

if anyone needs 95 minutes of very decent cinema, Netflix's Blood and Gold is essentially a cinematic-mashup of a German version of Kelly's Heroes with some Quentin Tarantino ... German, with subs ...

Was a little wild that I watched Cold Mountain the night before he passed given his role in it. Ordinary People is also a favorite featuring him. Almost never see it talked about but easy to see how he managed such a long career pulling off what he did with that one. Agree that the trailer needs a recut as it doesn't do the movie justice at all.

 

 

For those who were mentioning the Wilder biopic here's another you might like.

Condor on Prime is very good. Loosely based on Three Days of the Condor (a must see movie itself imo)

 

Very good espionage series, writing, characters, budget. 
 

And got good old William Hurt in a great role (I just see he passed away in 2022 rip) Brendan Fraser is in it too.

Mr & Mrs Smith will be next. Enjoyed Anna at first but they went a little too heavy on the rebellious teenager route and bludgeoning the plot too often instead of finessing it so I dropped out. May give it a go again at some point as Ray Liota shows up in Season 3.

 

Don't think I dropped any of these in earlier. Great watches if you enjoy the slow burn/are into espionage flicks.

I don’t look too deeply into entertainment. It’s pretty much I enjoyed it or I didn’t. So if forced to say where I rate ‘Industry’ on a scale of 1 to Succession, I’d say a 8/9 as I’m enjoying it just about as much. If you were to ask for actual details as to why I’d have to say… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just finished A Man in Full. Not a bad show, but it's a mini series with only 6 episodes. 

 

We started Banshee, just need to get back to it and finish it up.
