Watched most of the Barbie movie last night.  Couldn't hang in there till the end.  Would have bailed a lot earlier, but Margo Robbie is sure easy to look at.

Similar experience but hung in bcs my GF was watching. Blondes not really my thing so coulda easily bailed on Margo.

Saw "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", based on Chuck Barris's auto-bio. Thought it was great, very entertaining.

 

Another Clooney movie, "Michael Clayton", pretty good for free movie. 

 

Actually enjoyed the "Barbie" movie, it was better than I expected.. Margo Robbie in "I Tonya" is a fantastic movie.

Also saw for the 4rth time "There will Be Blood". D.D. Lewis is on another level as an actor. Screenplay is top shelf too. A classic.

If you haven't seen it yet, watch PTA first movie "Hard Eight". Philip Seymour Hoffman has the greatest one-off scene in film history.

I actually thought Kali Reis was the best part of the show. Mixed feelings overall after finishing it but thought the finale was decent. And it wasn't supposed to be part of the TD universe. That was forced on the showrunner Issa Lopez by HBO. Partly why the tie-ins to S1 were so forced.

Watched it last night and was laughing at that! Didn’t know it was a Moe Norman thing.

Best line for me was when Larry tells his grieving neighbor something to the effect that his sympathy doesn't really mean as much as other people's.  It's like he's dropped any pretense of humanity or decency for his character this season.

Drops of God - watch now, thank me later. One of the best shows in the last year

 

Woman in the Wall - harrowing psychological horror about Magdalene laundries. Last episode hasn't dropped yet.

 

Murder at the End of the World - different

 

Silo - terrific sci fi and Rebecca Ferguson is always worth watching!

Curb is definitely top of my list lately. 

 

I finished True Detective: Night Country but I was disappointed in it. I felt like Fargo season 5 was much better as far as comparable shows go. 

 

Next we will probably cue up a couple of season three's we have been putting off: Only Murders in the Building and The Morning Show.  

 

We were about halfway through S3 of Ted Lasso and stopped. Whatever magic it had in S1 has been spent. The final season seems like they were phoning it in for the big payday.

Fargo S5 was excellent and a huge improvement over S4. Juno Temple was outstanding.

 

Mixed feelings about TD as I said above. Pretty interesting altho writing seemed a little clunky and forced. Some of it was just stupid and I never did figure out where the tongue had been or how it showed up!! That said, Jodi Foster's performance in the last episode was a master class in acting.

 

And I'll save you lots of time - skip season 3 of the Morning Show. AWFULL
