Once it was over I felt like nearly all the characters were unlikable and I didn't much care what happened to any of them.

Yup. I posted that about the show runner Issa Lopez earlier in this thread. Why some of the writing felt forced and clunky. Story and setting were pretty good though and I really liked Kali Reis. None of the other characters though. One pretty cool tie-in to S1 was that instead of the Yellow King they had the Blue King Crab Co.😁

Whenever they showed the female cop beta cuck husband, I just imagined him posting on the "Can a scratch golfer beat an LPGA tour player" thread on WRX.

I'm a sucker for WWII-era stuff, so I just started watching Masters of the Air.  I'm not much of a critical thinker while watching shows, so don't expect any reviews.  LOL.  Probably explains why I enjoy silly stuff like The Grand Tour.

Twist and Shout was actually a clip from Ferris Buehler movie. Lots of theories online including hints at Danvers' past, adding some optimistic tone, etc, but who cares? I want to know how the tongue kept appearing. Bizarre, but no stranger than thinking that a few weird scientists stranded up north were going to actually find secret to prolonging life in the permafrost!! And these guys went beserk cause a protester interrupted their research and broke one of their toys. I think overall plot was ridiculous, writers got trapped in part trying to tie it in to the TD universe, and yet somehow I still enjoyed the show and the finale.

Agree w/all you said. Finished it last night. Without getting into reasons and details, I’ll say it’s my least favorite season of TD. 
After, we watched a movie I had never heard of. ‘Hereafter’ w/Matt Damon. It was free and when it was over I said “That was good”. Which makes it better than a lot of stuff out there.

Lucifer was entertaining. A bit predictable at times, but I think I managed to watch all of it. That is until it got dropped by network and picked up by Netflix. It went 👎

tide! we just finished binging BB and many thanks! Haven’t been that into a series in a while. It’s a genre unto its own in some ways but, all aspects considered, it was right up there with Lost, GoT, and the Sopranos as far as compelling viewing 

 

We just finished before the deadline for it leaving NF. But yeah, it seems like Season 4 is not getting distributed anytime soon bastids!

yep ... i mean, the only way to watch season 4 and the upcoming season 5 is to fly to europe and binge it in a hotel ... which i'm not opposed to, but since we live in this thing called the digital age, I should be able to watch my damned show ...  those ... people ... at NF ... are now my enemy #1 ...

Watching "Big Bang Theory" for first time and I usually get a couple of real laughs in each episode, which I consider pretty good for a sitcom these days.  But such an annoying laugh track.   HA HA  HA.  Everything everybody says.  HA HA HA.   I wish there was a way of turning it off.  Or that the guy who invented it was never born.

BBT is a pillar of modern sitcoms on par w/the likes of Friends and Seinfeld IMO.

The Gentlemen of NF is pretty entertaining, 

 

Guy Ritchie, his usual genre of Brit crime and kooky characters, but pretty fresh, funny, good performances.
