Popeye-  any more testing/play of this head?     This threads silence is deafening!    Thanks

I've swapped it in and out on the simulator. No outside play, which is the real test. It's certainly a bomber. Low spin and launches well. Not the most forgiving, given it's smaller head size. But it's certainly has been fun.

440cc is only 4% under the max size limit.  How can this be considered small?

I'd have to see at address BUT going off of specs;

TC Pro=

Face Height -  2.125" or 53.975mm

Face length - 3.765"

TC=

FH- 2.2" or 55.88mm

FL- 4.812"

TC Max=

FH- 2.38" or 60.452mm

FL- 4.733"

The TC Pro has an inch shorter face length and I would fully expect it to look significantly smaller at address.  It was the first spec I noticed when it was dropped on the site and I thought it was a misprint and asked.  Although the face height spec isn't shallow, it's not tall either and in conjunction with the short heel to toe measurement....i suspect it's going to look shallow.

Go back to page 2 and look at the pics I posted vs the G430 Max.  4% looks substantially smaller to my eye.

Can't help but wonder if it's similar to why the SuperDeep looks so small.  It's not actually smaller (or, only marginally so) in displacement terms, but the face is so deep, the added face depth makes the clubhead appear quite a bit smaller, when you look down at it at address.

In other words, heel to toe and front to back dimensions.  🙂

Revive this thread, kinda. I currently game a TSR3. Deciding whether to go with the TC Pro or the TC Max. I love my TSR, but I do have a slight heel hit every now and again. Which do you think would be the better option?

Honestly both are really good heads. The Pro head rewards the most solid of strikes with a piercing bomb. The Max is a good every day head just a bit higher in spin but not overly high.

i took both on a recent golf trip. The Max was a super solid performer for me.

I had a chance to do a fitting at Golfworks yesterday and tested the TC Pro, TC Max as well the Ping G430. If you already have the TSR3 and you are looking for forgiveness, I would recommend the Max. (Actually, if money is no object get the Ping.) The TC Pro is going to look very similar to the TSR3, and is even slightly smaller. It's built to be a low spin bomber which I think you already have in your bag. The Max is more forgiving and has a completely different shape and look. I would think that the Max would be a better complimentary club to what you already have.

FWIW, I went with the Pro because I was looking for distance. I also  grabbed the Pro adjustable 3 wood which was also awesome.

@Colej: Are you able to interchange the Max and Pro heads on the same shaft?

Yes I can change shafts between the two driver heads.

So, I found the Pro for cheap on FBM, only had 3 rounds of play. Sold the Titleist. Gonna play 9 holes tomorrow and see how it performs. It's super light compared to the Titleist. I kept my ProForce V2 Black shaft so I can potentially swap. The Pro has an Aldila Silver Stiff in it, horrible Dritac grip on it.

@03trdblack I regret selling mine and I’m wondering how yours is performing in a long term review.

It basically kept me from purchasing a Titleist TSR4. I hit it side by side with the TSR4 with the same Ventus Blue 6S shaft and results were within the standard deviation on almost everything. I wish I had taken a picture of the side by side results 🙈

Spin numbers were both around 2100rpm and smash factor on both heads was 1.48 and up, even on some slight mis-hits. The TSR4 had about 1mph faster ballspeed on average but it was within the standard deviation of both. The sound of the Maltby is really good but I'd probably give the Titleist the slight nod.

If I could make one small tweak to the Maltby it would be to make the face just a little bit deeper as it seems shallow compared to what I'm used to. I have to tee it just a bit lower.

I wish there were a 9 or 8.5 degree head that were about 350 or 360 cc, that would be perfect

I know this is about a year later, but the Wishon SHPR 519 is a 415 cc head that comes in 9 degrees.  It's a real fun, high quality head that might be worth a try.

Definitely don’t need it but I like this driver so much that I just picked up a second head as a backup…..

for me this driver hits absolute 💣

It's suuuper hot off the face.  I get consistent 1.49-1.5 smash with it.

Lol it was more of just a goofin comment. I actually had an easy pitch up from the correct side of the tree. I did have the thought that it would be a great club marketing campaign though. "I used to be able to aim at that tree...guess I can't anymore" as the ball sails past the target, actor gives a sly grin.

Father's Day KE4 TC Pro driver/present on order. I am by no means a 💣 but it looked soooooooooooooo slick I just had to give it a whirl. As the course dries out I was interested in lower spin/flight to produce longer roll out; can't wait for it to show up. Picked up a  KE4 TC Hybrid 2H to replace 5w and 3H (trying to get my total number of clubs down to reduce weight when I carry in the summer) and it's been delightful at the range.

Bought the premium pak, R flex. No one mistakes me for being the big hitter with a blazing 97MPH club head speed at 67. 🙂

Just back from the range and all I gotta say is WOWZA! Great look at setup, great impact sound and fantastic feel off the sweet spot. Didn't get the wrench (backordered) and I must have loaned out about 3 others I had so went with whatever the setup was out of the box. Struggled at first with some pulls and then said lemme try some high fades (not my core competence). Results?

💣💣💣

Crunched the stuffing out of them (for me) with about 240-245 carry (257 to furthest flag and a few were two-hoppers+ to it).

Couldn't be happier.

Other than finding a wrench and playing a bit with the settings.

Gen1 Mavrik formerly in the bag?

[in soup nazi voice]Basement for you!!
