Golf Galaxy Trade-In Bonus

Is there a rhyme or reason to their trade-in bonuses? With all the new clubs out, I’m surprised we aren’t seeing the 150% promo. I’ve been sitting on some stuff for a while, patiently waiting for the next trade-in bonus.

The +bonus promos generally arent right at launch. People will pay top dollar for the new stuff the first 30-90 days and after the hype dies down then the deals start.

This 100%. No reason to juice trade ins when folks are very excited to grab the new gear and pay top dollar. Optimistic though this is finally the year golf sales slow down a bit and we see some great 50-100% trade in bonuses like the crazy one Callaway did last year.

Rock bottom golf has a 50% bonus going on right now... They do restrict bonus $ on new Ping/Titleist gear, though.

 

As far as trade-in values go, I think their bonus offers are fair enough, especially if you'd rather not wade through the BST/ebay waters.

Just checked some of the rock bottom trade values with their current 50% bonus and it's the same as most everywhere else's normal trade in value.  Not really much of a deal but I'm sure ppl will see 50% bonus and not even check what anyone else is offering.

next thing you’ll tell me is RBG will often have  a 30% off sale and just raise prices so that the sales price is the same as their normal price before the sale. 🤣

Yah i kinda chuckle when I see their "sales"

it's not shocking to see them do something like this with trades too

although I thought in the past they did give pretty good value.

I looked at their trade in values before and quickly determined it had been a waste of time.

I mean, I don't exactly love RBG and their scammy pricing tactics either... I only said their bonus values were fair enough! 😝

 

Of course ymmv depending on what you've got, but this is my current driver.  I *might* get a little more selling on the BST, but time is not your friend with Callaway gear when you're ultimately competing w/ CPO.

 

Alternatively, what's everyone's go-to place for trade-in's?
