GolfsNotDead
I’ve been doing some research lately on the Full Swing Kit vs GC4 and TM and come to the conclusion it seems to hold up very well against the others. I’m in a smallish city around 100k population with no golf shop or club fitter/maker. There are 5 courses here, 2 country clubs and 3 public, as well as a couple in nearby smaller towns so golf is quite popular. Currently looking into the idea of starting a retail shop as there is at least one in all the other cities of this size within 50-100 miles of here. I would like to offer 3-5 hitting bays and plan to use the Full Swing Kit in at least 3 of the bays, and would be interested in using it for doing fittings if possible. So my question to those more knowledgeable on this subject than myself, would this be an option to use for fitting on top of using them for club testing? collje26
I'm not in the golf business but test equipment all the time. I think some of the data points you have with the Quad or TM would be very beneficial when fitting clubs. I know the KIT is much cheaper than the two previous mention monitors so if you're looking in that price point I would check out the GC3 or if it's never going to me moved the falcon would be an option. Carolina Golfer 2
So I work at a course and I bought a FSK to help assist in fittings as a supplement to our Trackman. I've used it several times on the range with myself and some other employees, it is great. We had a Titleist Fitting Day last week and the rep was here with his Trackman. I set it side by side, and the numbers matched exactly, except for the Club Path, which is accountable for them not sitting on the same line. We found when we set the FSK in front of Trackman, the TM missed a couple things, understandable. But side by side, the important numbers of ball speed, launch, carry spin were all right on. The rep said he could fit off that easily. But as far as inside, I haven't had any experience with it yet. I would make sure that you have the ProV RCT balls though, otherwise I'm not sure you will get good spin numbers due to the limited flight space for radar. Inside is one where typically camera based Bushnell Launch Pro would be better. But I will be using mine 90% of the time outside, so I wanted Radar. Golfcrzy
They had the FSK with a trackman and quad (not turned on) and were demoing fsk va tm4. Numbers were definitely in the very comparable area. Shame they didn’t have the quad on. Certainly can rely on the data
Long Shot
I have had the FSK and Trackman side by side indoors and the numbers were virtually the same (with obvious variances). The one weakness of FSK I have found is into a net. I have found the number off in the longer clubs when hitting into a net. But as a FWIW, I was reading today on the Rapsodo MLM2 page, that a few people experienced the same thing with it, ideal outside and shorter numbers inside in a net. Which totally makes sense with a radar based unit. I will be using mine 90% outside which was one of the major reasons I went with the FSK vs the BLP. As a member of the MLM2Pro Beta team, I have that unit and may use it when I want to do pure simulation inside. 1 Quote GT2 9.0 Autoflex Dream 7 Titleist GT2 13+ & 18* FW with Denali 5.5 Callaway Elyte 9W Vanquish 50g T250 5-GW MMT Blue 85g Vokey SM10 54, 58 LAB DF3 TPT 35"
