Lamkin sonar+ and sonar+ wrap moisture control

Anyone have experience with these grips? How are they in humidity, rain or sweat palms?

I play the Sonar.  I've had good luck with it in pretty much all conditions.  It's a nice all year grip for those of us that experience all 4 seasons.

Quick wipe with a towel & they're great in humidity- like just a real quick wipe

I have had these grips on my clubs for 2 years and still do not need to change them.

I live and play in NOLA so you can imagine the weather we deal with. 

I play at least once a week.

When I get a new set of irons, these grips will be on them

I like these grips a lot. Stay tacky for a long, long time.

Love the midsize sonar plus. The wrap did not work great for me. I play in rain and dewy conditions all the time. Had them for 3+ years and haven’t needed to change them out

Recently put on a set of Sonar+ Wrap Calibrate grips on my clubs, excellent so far, great feel and tackiness even in cold weather. It's only been a little while so can't comment on how it holds up for the long term.

I've been testing grips recently dry and wet and personally found these grips weren't great when wet. I think the micro grooves in the rubber actually held more water in after I quickly toweled them off and were slicker for it. I found the plain old GP Tour Wrap 2G to actually have a better tacky feel immediately after toweling off.

 

That said, my hands sweat so all these types of grips aren't going to be my jam.

Great grip.  I have not had any issues with the Sonar+ but am not particularly sweaty, either.  I only have them on my woods because they're a bit softer than a tour velvet type and I tend to apply more grip pressure when I'm swinging for the fences, which these allow for comfortably.

Sweat and wet was a big issue for me with the Calibrate Wrap. Cool and dry they were great but I couldn’t keep hold of them when wet. Back to cords.

What is an excellent grip for sweaty palms?

I currently use pure pro midsize but they are too slippery when my hands get sweaty.

I just got these grips on my new Mizunos. I hate them. I play in south central PA and Maryland where it’s pretty humid in the summer. I have small hands and short fingers (probably the bigger problem) and after 5 swings or so on the range my top hand can’t stay on the club. May go back to dritacs despite the terrible durability.
