Looking to go graphite in irons. MMT from Modus 120??

Would not touch the TX with a stick if you're looking for something easier on the body. If you check the EI profile it is literally rebar. Ignored this and put a 125TX in my driving iron and the thing was basically a training aid with how hard it was to hit. For context, I'm 21 and have a driver clubhead speed of 122mph.

For lighter and easier to hit I would suggest steelfiber as an alternative to the MMT, Axiom, and LAGP.

I'd say you're better off posting something here in the WTB forum instead of Amazon, but whatever works for you...

Sure is. If they wanna wait, that's a great idea. Or they might get lucky. There's also the chance someone would want to buy it today and have it delivered in days. That's a convenient choice that is also an option.

After about 5 months in the 125 TX shafts with Mizuno MP223 heads, I gave up trying to find a solution with those heads to my "hard left miss" issue that was still present after having lie adjustments done, adding tungsten tape, and of course, the swap from Nippon 1150gh stiff shafts to the MMT125TX Shafts.  In 2 rounds with X100s in my "new" (to me anyway) 2020 P7MCs, I've not missed a ball left that wasn't wind-aided, and while I'm going to have to work through some realignment of my iron swing footwork to deal with the fade I can now hit, it's nice that my iron ball flight is coming closer to matching my driver ball flight...now to get those pesky fairway / hybrid shots to stop being 2-way misses...

At any rate, yeah, my solution was pretty drastic in that I grabbed totally different clubs off Facebook Marketplace and said #(@+ it to my Mizunos, but so far so good.  Gained strokes in approach (per SwingU and Arccos) in round 2 at least, versus that being a huge strokes lost area for me in the recent past.

Did anyone soft step MMT 105 S coming from Modus 120 S?  Soft step twice?

Just my opinion of course, but if you were playing the Modus 105 S, I would suggest trying the MMT 105 S straight in. I don’t know if I am in the minority, but I really don’t find the MMT 105 S to be terribly stiff. They are strong, and stable, but I simply don’t find them overly stiff like a KBS TGI 100 or Steelfiber i110 S.

Not sure how the Modus 120 S fit in, as I haven’t hit them in forever. But I wouldn’t think you would need to soft step the 105 S two times (or perhaps even once) coming from the 120 S. YMMV.

I started this thread quite awhile ago, and although I went with 105S, they didn't stick around long. I played 5-10 rounds with them before I moved on. They ballooned on me. Accurate, but shots were short and spinny. I ended up moving on to SteelFiber i110cw and softstepped them. It was night and day. Got all my distance back and then some. No more balloon shots. It's been about a year now, and I have no interest in even trying anything else. They're very smooth. No late round fatigue. I've found my "perfect" shaft. Good luck on your adventure!!!

Modus 120 S to Steelfiber i110cw makes sense because of the design being similar. However as you found out in the same flex steelfiber is more stable so you soft-stepped them.

Everything that I read had stated that SteelFiber plays stiff to flex. So, I took a chance and ordered them softstepped from GolfWorks and installed them myself. It definitely worked out. They feel great, but I have a feeling they would've been too firm if I had went straght in.

Many wouldn't agree with this, but to me MMT have a stiff butt, softish middle and stiffen up by the tip where they add more material to bring up swing weights. Classic steelfiber is more linear throughout with no obvious softer spot anywhere.

... Thanks. Pretty much what I experienced with MMT 85 compared to the Steelfiber i80's I have been playing for years. Mat's were a no uncharge option with the Cobra 3DP Tour irons so I thought I would give them a shot. The MMT's feel softer and more dampened, although trajectory, spin and distance is very similar. "More linear and no soft spot" or for me feel like "nothing" is something I am used to so the softer feeling kick and more dampened feel is taking some getting used to. With the same swingweight the MMNT's feel just little head heavy as well instead of the over all balance of the Steelfibers. I only have 2 rounds with the MMT's so if the performance is the same but just a different feel, it will come down to playing them for awhile and seeing if I can get used to them. If not, I will just re-shaft with my Steelfiber's.

My first venture into composite six years back was with SF i110cw S in 2i-PW, and i125cw S in wedges, played them for 2yrs +/- before moving to MMT 125S.  The i110 series has a different bend & tip configuration than SF i95 series.  Glad you found a match.
