I speculated a bit in the woodland thread.  Who else has it?

the ones in woodlands wedges look to be fairly worn.  Hence why I thought it might be a prototype for the 610 Wedge (which is tour v with .610 butt-diameter rather than .600)

Mizuno tour builder showed his set he has in irons. I know they were coming out with a dynamic gold type profile shaft.

Just saw a clip where a dude was getting his clubs adjusted at the kbs fitting center and he was hitting his ctaper 130x side by side the “newest shaft kbs is coming out with, the kbs v-10)

hoping it’s a heavier version of tour v.  I’m currently playing a set of tour v 130 and like them but impossible to get through an oem build.

I am pretty sure there is a video on Rocco mediate's instagram where he talks about it some.

I saw that post wonder if it’s the v10 he was hitting. He said it was ultra heavy and ultra stiff. The builder for KBS on tour I doubt is hitting that type of shaft but Woodland can for sure. 🤷 woodland only has in wedges right ?

Woodland went from px 6.5 and hi-rev 125 to ctaper 130 and these v10s.  I think the market for the 130 tour v was very limited. Most went with the 125+ or 120x and i'm curious as to overall how succesful that shaft model was for them.  It would be kinda crazy if woodland went from hi-rev into something super stiff in his wedges.  If its a tour v 120x with thicker walls in the butt that would be where the added 5 grams could coming from and it would perform similar to the 125 version but stiffer in the butt end and a touch softer in the tip.   we'll eventually find out but i would definitely want to give it a shot.

The tour v 130 doesn’t feel any stiffer  to me than the  v125.  The weight helps it smooth out my tempo a bit.  I turn the ball over with the 125 long irons, but don’t have that problem with the 130.

Outside of the tour i think the v 130 market is small, but that’s likely cause there almost a zero chance one can test it before hitting.

Px 7.0, x7, modus 130x ctaper 130x all are easier to find and get a couple swings in before taking the plunge.
Tour v 130 is smoother than the px 7.0 and the x7, more like a modus 130x with a softet handle and stiffer tip.

Yes the Tour VT 130 X was so super stout that no tour players played it in their irons as far as I am aware, KBS confirmed that it was easily the stiffest shaft they have ever made and that includes the C-Taper 130 X so it must have at least as stiff as the DG X7 I would reckon, it will be interesting to see how the new V10 compares.

Sheesh.  C taper 130x feels stiffer  it lighter to me than tour v 130.  You can still hit little half shots with the tour v, but the c taper feels like it needs 100% on every shot.  I don’t doubt kbs, but it must be the bend profile that’s influencing the feel.

Yes its probably a different profile as you say, I only hit a few shots with the Tour VT 130 X but both it and the C-Taper 130 X felt stouter than PX 6.5 which I play but despite being really stout the Tour VT 130 X did feel way better to me than the C-Taper 130 X which felt very heavy and boardy.

the balance points and profiles are different on the tour v and c taper. tour v being like a kbs tour (higher).  iirc.  i'm pretty sensitive to that and it makes a big difference to me on perceived stiffness and weight. I tend to feel more of the handle stiffness than most maybe. kbs tours for instance feel slightly stiffer and lighter than dgx100 to me.  others feel the opposite.  different strokes...

Have you hit $Taper 130? How would you compare them to Tour V 130?

S taper 130 feels more linear with a softer tip.  Also swing weights a little lighter and easier to load.  Ball flight is similar to dynamic gold for me, but it spins a little less.  I tend to lose control (open/close) of the face.

tour v130 still has a little hinge/kick right after the midsection in lower part of the shaft and then stiffens back up at the tip. Little harder to load, and if you don’t load it it the ball just kind of launch up high and floats.

$ Taper feels terrible. Tried it the other day in a fitting. I thought the C Taper was bad but the $ Taper was worse. Not nagging on KBS I think the Tour and the V feel great. I love the 120 V.

fwiw, i have heard that this is a line of iron shafts not a wedge specific shaft.  So a new name for the 610 wedge shaft offered in different weights and flexes for irons seems the most logical.

You are correct.  There is tour with where a pro has a full set of prototypes in his irons.

Patiently waiting for more info on these from KBS… 🙄

In the market for new iron shafts currently and afraid to splurge on a set before I at least have some solid info on these!!

My man Kyle Hammonds from mizuno has a full set in the bag but seems like everyone who has them is staying fairly hush hush about them currently 😕

Almost 5 bills is a lot for steel shafts.  Hard pass.  Maybe MSRP will be lower when they hit retail.

Have been playing a chrome set for a while and building a set now with gloss black version.  Feel similar to DG and have similar numbers for me to Project X. Launch higher and spin less than DG for me.  This was from testing in a 4 iron head (23.5*)

No idea, when I started testing them at the beginning of the year and playing them I didn’t know you couldn’t get them until I was told the black set I have is the first run of black they’ve ever done.
