i need to add some weight to a Spider..

to be specific. Its a Spider GTX. A non-weight adjustable model 😑. Need to add about ~15 grams. i can add magnets to the black part cause its some sort of metal but then the sole wouldnt sit flat. And i cant add magnet to the white part cause its non-metal. I can use lead tape, but then 15grams would be a ridiculous amount.

 

WTH do i do lol ?

consider tungsten weights from golfworks ... or even "wheel weights" with adhesive backing from amazon etc (you can decide whether you wish to use "blue tac" putty as an adhesive, depending on where you with to position the weights?).

15g honestly isn't a huge ask with a mallet that big, probably two layers of lead tape over the entire sole would about do it.

Just get the wide high density lead tape so you don't have to apply 50 strips of the thin one.

You can add weight down the shaft...it would be hidden and the most aesthetically pleasing. 

 

There is lots of room on the belly of that pig to put lead tape. It's the cheapest and easiest method for sure.

@bunta how did those weights work out? I have the same exact TM Spider GTX and just cut it down from 34” to 31.5” and think I need to add some weight to the head to improve the swingweight since I lost so much by cutting it down 2.5”. I have lead tape but in the same predicament of not wanting to add a ton of tape to the head and think the weights would look a lot more aesthetically pleasing. Curious to know how the weights you added are working out for you and how/where you installed them.

Wheel weights aren’t aesthetically pleasing on wheels. Use tungsten powder down the shaft if you care about looks.
