Tatum Ranch membership?

How many members are active on this forum? I was wondering the pros and cons of being a member there. I found a thread from 2018 but it probably isn't relevant in 2024. I assume the buy in is more than 10k now. Any insight would be great. It seems like people have a great experience or had a horrible one.

 I'm surprised nobody is a member here or maybe they haven't posted. Here is what I found out. 

 

32k sign-up non equity, $1020 per month, 450 biannual FB, carts 20 bucks a time or 2750 per year. I'm not sure it is worth it considering I hear it is impossible to get good times without constantly being online when the booking window is open. It was 6k sign-up not long ago then 11k.

Better off taking that money and playing public courses instead. Probably a lot easier to get a good tee time that way.

I re-read the OP - so Tatum is getting people to pay $47,000 per year to play there!  Just wow!

 

As Mr Bonneville stated... you could play play Wekopa 200 times (even in high season) w. FNB  and enjoy yourself 1000x more!

Yeah I'm definitely passing. Getting an inseason tee time is as hard as the popular public courses according to people I've asked about the club. Hey they give you a Scorty Cameron putter though! 😆

lol….where do you get that? Yes, the first year might come out to that….do you know of a private not changing any initiation fee these days?

 

I am a member for the last 20 years.  It’s been good and bad over the years.  Since getting a well for water about ten years ago the conditions are always quite good.

 

The downside is definitely Arcis…and especially the current GM.  Yes, there are too many members for an 18 hole facility.  That said it’s not really hard to get tee times IF you know when you are planning to play.  Getup at 6:30 and make your times for 8 days out.  It most definitely is nearly impossible to get a prime Saturday morning time if you wait until Thursday or Friday to decide.  But then based on what I’ve read here the public’s are not any easier to get on.

$47k per year is what you wrote.  It’s initiation and $12k per year plus modest F&B minimum.  You certainly don’t pay $47k per year.

Ahh, I do apologize - because my wording was incorrect...I was thinking of year 1.  Yes - not 47k per year. 

 

It was stated $32000 for membership; $1020 per month; $450 FnB, carts $2750.  

 

32000 + 12000 + 2750 + 450 = $47000+

And as busy as we get there are still some times available.  It’s not perfect but for this end of town is really reasonably priced and in quite good condition.

Aw man… I live in Tatum ranch and was wanting to become a member there… but not at that price… I’d rather buy a year at dove and rancho and split my time between them at the same yearly cost no initiation.

What is the annual pass costs at Dove these days? I saw they closed practice facilities to non playing public. Do they offer an annual range pass?
