edd13's WITB - Miura Minimalist 'Full Bag'

A mallet finger is keeping me away from golf for a few weeks so I guess I'm making this post just to get some golf in my life.

 

New to golf (since 2020) and even newer to walking (started this year), I've built this 10-club 'full bag' to be a mix between maximum yardage coverage and as light and compact as possible of a set up so it's easier on my already suspect knees and back.

 

I don't play the back tees so I don't know if I have a handicap to share but my career highlights include an 84 at Torrey North, a 91 at Bethpage Black, and a 60-y "HiO" on a pitch-n-putt course.

 

 

Ball: Titleist AVX (Yellow)

 

Bag: Vessel Sunday III

 

Driver: [10 degree] Yonex EZONE GT 2 (EVO Speeder 757)

 

Hybrids: [2H/4H] Mizuno CLK (TENSEI Blue CK 70HY)

 

 

Irons: [5I/7I/9I] Muira MC-502 (PX Rifle 6.5)

 

Wedges: [48F/54M/60B] Titleist Forged Vokeys (PX Wedge 6.5)

 

Putter: Kevin Burns 9306 (BGT Stability) - single dot on top and the Burns unique 'pyramid' milling

@J-Blade Thanks, I found the lack of capacity to go for greens in regulation really freed me up mentally to lay up and get reasonable looks at 1-putt pars.

 

@teewinot I just got this one from Kevin about a month ago, I've been dying to try to pyramid milled face and the honeymoon period has been fantastic so far.

@RoverTiger Ya something about the slight sparkle with the AVX Yellows really help me keep an eye on 'em in the air.

Dropped the 2 Hybrid, switched up Driver shaft and Putter, and traded the three wedges for two; bringing the 'full bag' down to 8 clubs now:

Ended up playing most of last season with the Vokey 3 wedge set up and the 9-club bag really served me well; but Miura was having a sale on their wedges and I couldn't resist the opportunity to 'complete' the half set:

 

 

(Ignore the 3W, 5W in the bag, played "my local muni" where they're gonna host the Ryder Cup this year and needed some extra length).

S-L-O-W rounds during Fourth of July weekend gave me the time to take some more pictures of the clubs. 

 

Really getting into a groove with this 8-club set up, finally playing the back tees now and just broke 80 twice in my last 5 rounds.
