Ugh I love my deep etch full cord. Hopefully superstroke won’t ruin it or I’ll have to start my search all over again for  the perfect putter grip.

In all honestly, buy 4-5 now and you’ll be set for life…. It’s a putter grip

Somebody, anybody! Experiencing the block letter cord grip is unusable?? Below 70 degrees, I’m afraid it will fly out my hands. No joke.

I've got midsize crossline cords with the block lettering and had no issues the last month of the season. Played my last 6 rounds in the high 40's low 50's temp.

I've been using Lamkin grips for years, and never had any issues with the block lettering feeling slippery on the cord grips.  I've used the UTx and the Crossline cord grips with no issues at all when the temperature drops.

Thanks for that 👍 I hope I just have a dude. It’s a real defeatist feeling when this happens. Trust me. Hope you never have to deal with it.

Might be a dud and one that was in the bin for a while.  The only time I've dealt with any sort of slipping is a grip that was on my driver for a couple of seasons and a lot of use.  It was only in the thumb area on my bottom hand.  Other than that, no issues.  I hope it's not an ongoing thing if you try another one.  Lamkin makes my favorite grips, and I'd have a hard time changing to something else.

Here is the older version and new. I bought a used set of irons that have the cursive logo. My initial assessment was that the grips are at least a full season into their life, and I think more than that. They are label down, and I can feel the player worn in reminder line. So they are plenty used. And in fantastic useable condition.

The new grip, bought by me, installed by me with air.

The old grip is rubber feeling—The new grip is unusable.. it’s just cold, hard, slippery. I’d have better luck gripping the metal shaft.

I have a set of Ping ISI with the original Ping grips and I’m never changing those. Every five years when I pull them from the garage trash can storage bin, they are good as new.

I’ve had disappointments in grips in the past, so I grip PTSD. I need an unforeseen miracle purchase for good Lamkin cords.

+1.  Lamkin did discontinue it at one point so even before SS it was on the chopping block.

It doesn't sound like you're going to see much change in either line.  It was more of a manufacturing capacity and supply chain thing more than brand and IP.

Any updates on the future of the acquisition? Superstroke took full ownership of the Lamkin Europe Instagram account.

I've got a couple trade accounts that are with distribution companies and it's pretty quiet even from their end.  I had a direct account with Lamkin as well.  I've tried emailing them a few times over the past year and have never heard anything.

SuperStroke is taking over. My source said the Lamkin brand is phasing out by summer. SuperStroke will most likely maintain the popular Lamkin grips(Crossline, Sonar+, and UTX) and axe the rest. The branding will be SuperStroke on those grips. QC supposedly will be better as SuperStroke is overseeing production now. I can also assume, SuperStroke swing grips are probably getting axed too. Heavy push on marketing for the combined new SuperStroke-Lamkin offering.

It's down for me too.  They no longer have control of that website... maybe superstroke just forgot to pay the bill?  Or they are awkwardly shutting it down before moving things over the the superstroke website?

Just saw the website was down. I didn't even know about the acquisition. Was about to regrip and was considering going back to UTX. Eliminating the Deep etch putter grip is unfathomable, but i can't see superstroke using their brand on a traditional putter grip. I would have to stock up on if so. I can't stand superstroke grips.

Somehow we missed this press release.

Per release, the Crossline and Crossline Cord are confirmed to survive the transition to SuperStroke as updated 2.0 versions.

The new SuperStroke REVL grip line offers three distinct options—

Fusion (ST Hybrid?)

Player (UTX?)

and Comfort (Sonar?)

— designed to meet the needs of every golfer.

I’ve already regripped my irons for 2025 (Lamkin UT+), so will be awhile before I try the REVL line.  Maybe on my driver as a test. Hope they didn’t muck it up.  Have always preferred Lamkin to Golf Pride or others for their tackiness and durability.  A Crossline would be playable for several seasons while a Tour Velvet would need replacing within a half season.

When the prices started shooting up around 2020 I bailed on both GP and Lamkin.

Love to regrip every year, so now buy the "Karma" version of Crosslines on Amazon for 1/3 of the price with no complaints.

Recently tried a new twist on the old GP Tour Wrap, the Champkey Wrap-Y and am pretty impressed with the grip.

I read that and found it was just a lot of gobbledegook that said nothing. I'm guessing SS id going to ruin the Lamkin grips I love. (Sonar+). I just bought 20 in the GT 40% off sale and might have to buy some more.

I’m hoping SS rebrands a few of the Lamkin grips. Clearly they won’t be doing the entire catalogue, but I know a bunch of guys who swear by crosslines and aren’t thrilled with this situation. Personally, I hope the deep etched goes absolutely nowhere and they just put SS on it
