I’m hoping SS rebrands a few of the Lamkin grips. Clearly they won’t be doing the entire catalogue, but I know a bunch of guys who swear by crosslines and aren’t thrilled with this situation. Personally, I hope the deep etched goes absolutely nowhere and they just put SS on it

The main Crossline, Sonar, and UTX are probably a safe bet to stick around (probably with less skus), but the rest are likely in danger.

but I guess it’s only a matter of time…wish they could at least just not mess with the staples and my favorites like UTx and Deep Etched putter series

Certainly not working for me…this is what I get when hitting your link.

I just stocked up for one full set of Crossline grips ….might go back and get more.

Somehow we missed this press release.

Per release, the Crossline and Crossline Cord are confirmed to survive the transition to SuperStroke as updated 2.0 versions.

The new SuperStroke REVL grip line offers three distinct options—

Fusion (ST Hybrid?)

Player (UTX?)

and Comfort (Sonar?)

— designed to meet the needs of every golfer.

When I see 2.0 versions of Crossline and Crossline Cords, I worry.  The 1.0 is just fine and I don't want to see it messed up.

I loaded up on some Crossline and Cord midsize. Hopefully the new ones don't have Superstroke scripting plastered all over the place like their S tech cord.

It would just be terribly too easy to setup a domain redirect from Lamkingrips.com -> Superstrokeusa.com, especially when they have ownership of the domain. Looks like they let it expire which then caused this Indonesian scam-looking site to buy it. What a mess...

Well Superstroke sounds like a sextoy….

Wasn’t the correct website to Lamkin lamkingrips.com?

Maybe I should also stock up on SinkFit and the Sonar tour grips…

Yep. I edited my previous comment with the correct Lamkin/SuperStroke links. Point still stands though... Very easy from a URL hosting standpoint to setup re-directs no matter the URL.

It's a 2.0 in the sense that the molding techniques are new. The quality control is going to be a lot better. Crossline Cord in my opinion is one of the worst cord grips in term of QC.

I just hope it is going to be better than what SuperStroke currently offers. I have seen a few people comment about Lamkin QC sucking. While I can only speak from personal experience, I have never had an issue with them and their durability is outstanding. On the contrary, SS rubber is some of the thinnest, cheapest feeling on the market, IMO. Also their Winn copies (Traxion control) are notorious for being out of spec and of poor quality (the cores rip, the fake wrap unravelling, and the size being way off). Maybe this has changed since I used to sell them, but both places I worked at over the course of several years had the same problems.

I completely agree about the current offerings from SuperStroke being terrible.  I've never had any big issues with Lamkin and their QC being poor.  If their 2.0 means tighter tolerances on the Crossline and Crossline Cords, than that's fine, but I don't want them trying to incorporate whatever they use in that is currently used in the SuperStroke grips.  I really don't want to have to start the process of finding a new grip to use.

lamkin's newest ut+ was kind of weird, where I got the midsize but it wasn't really a midsize.

I had a long run stretch with lamkin, might be over it... after giving up golf pride for a couple years going to try it again after trying my friend's tour velvet after a year that was still tacky as heck.

I have to agree with you on this…I’ve used their Sonar+ grips for 3-4 years and really like them for my Woods and Wedges..but I really like a wrap grip soI tried the Sonar Wrap in a 60R and is was like using an undersized grip so I tried a couple of the Sonar Wrap in midsize and they were no where close to a midsize grip.

And the taper will be different.

I asked SS if they would soon have he Crossline on their site and/or would there be a name change.

Crossline grips are still being sold on Amazon if you are looking for original design.  We have slightly changed the Crossline
Shape for 2025 which will be available in May.  The new grip has a slightly larger lower profile which we call modern taper and has received rave reviews from everyone that has tested the new design.

Needless to say I’m stocking up on the Lamkin version.

This is what I was worried about.  I like the taper that it has now, so I'll be stocking up on the current version over the next few months just in case they make the bottom hand too big, like the +4 from Golf Pride.

I’d be good with a +2 reduced taper as long as they keep everything else the same.

Can confirm today that the tentative launch is around May-June. Can also confirm all the current Lamkin swing grips will be fully discontinued by that point.

The 3 new REVL grips will be all brand new designs, with Lamkin tech advertised on them along with SuperStroke name.

However, it looks like the Deep Etch will be the only grip surviving unchanged, all the other Lamkin putter grips are getting axed too.

Pretty big assumption on the reason for the sale. It’s a family held company. Maybe the family just wants to cash out? Happens all the time.

Didn't they open a plant in Mexico few years ago? Cashing out before tariffs hit 😄

All the sizes should still exist for the Crossline and Crossline Cord. At least standard and midsize. My assumption is Oversize too for the non-cord grip.

SuperStroke had them close it shortly after the acquisition. Moved all the production to China at that point. I heard rumblings that True Temper might be using it for their Icon grips.

Crossline as we know it is dead.  They have changed the grip completely.

Just purchased a couple Lamkin ST +2 hybrid 360 grips for my fairways. IMO it’s the perfect concept of a grip and I can’t for the life of me understand why Golf Pride hasn’t came out with an mcc 360 grip similar. Only complaint about these grips are there was some discrepancy in the weights (2g) and they are pretty stingy with cord on the upper half.
