Trip to Vegas in June

Best courses to play in Vegas area?? Shadow and cascata are out of budget since we will already be playing the Wynn. Please drop recommendations thank you.

how was the wynn? playing there in august. im fine with the heat. pairing that with paiute as well.

7/10 overall. Conditions and view are the only great things about it.

yeah i called them. they got burnt out and had to ease back on water. so conditions arent...ideal. paiute doesnt have water restrictions since they are on a reservation. will def be playing that the following day.

quick update. played 18 at paiute (wolf) on August 10th. course was in amazing shape. green and lush. windy but fun. heat was not an issue. teed off around 1pm and finished at 4pm.

 

played 36 at the wynn the following day. heat was not an issue and course was also in amazing shape and caddies were great. some wet areas but just because they were making sure the course wouldnt burn out. finished 36 in about 7 hours including a 20 min break between 18s.

 

i had no complaints about either course at all. ill be playing more august vegas golf. temps got to about 110 at the highs.  also, there was 0 alcohol consumption on either course. i saved that for the evenings but i also got a hydration IV after my 36.

i was also a single for all 54 holes. flew through these courses but at a pace where i actually enjoyed myself.

Has anyone played Las Vegas National lately or Wolf Creek?  I'm hearing that Wolf Creek might not be worth the 300 greens fee.

I have played all 3 extensively.  First of all, all 3 courses are usually in immaculate shape.  The snow course has the most water hazards and tends to play the most difficult for me.   The sun course tends to have the longest par 4s.  Many think the wolf course is the best one.  It has the island green par 3.  Many of the holes on all 3 courses have the same feel, and look.  My preference is Snow, Wolf, and Sun in that order.
