Buddies trip for desert golf

I've traveled down there a few times at this time of year and it has worked well for me.

@BirdieRoll This is the exact weekend my group is looking to visit this year (11/15-11/19).  

Seeing as you usually visit that time of year, have you run into a lot of Cart Path Only restrictions?  Do you have any hot tips on which courses may be Carts Off Paths by then? (or courses that aren't a grind with Cart Path Only)

Our week in St George was $4500 PP but we don't share rooms or bathrooms and we consume a lot of wine on our trips.

How much golf did you play? 4500 seems like someone made out well. My price did t include food and drinks. You have that no matter what you do. I was talking room and golf. I've put a lot of golf trips together.

$4500 per person includes this:

• Six rounds of golf ($1256 pp)
• Seven nights in Estrada houses ($2146 pp)
• Tournament betting fund
• Food for the house
• Liquor for the house
• Eating out
• Rental cars

So, room and golf was about $3400.

We did Mesquite/St. George courses in March 2023 (prices are probably higher now) staying at Eureka Casino hotel in Mesquite. Played Sand Hollow, Copper Rock, Oasis Canyon, Oasis Palmer, Falcon Ridge, and Coyote Springs. It was about $1300 per guy 2 guys to a room. 

Jennifer at Eureka set it all up.

Seems excessive. I bet I could shave quite a bit off the room and golf. St George golf is pretty reasonable compared to most places. We just did my guys trip in Scottsdale and it was 1300 ppn 4 rounds of golf at 10 am, own room and included rental cars, starter booze kit. 150 less if you were willing to share a room. I've done the homework on St George and the housing is a lot less.

It's not excessive if you want to play Estrada.  And we stayed for seven days, not four. 

 

There is no doubt you can do a St George trip for less than we did.  Our objective was to have fun, enjoy the luxury of Estrada, and relax, not save money.  We also choose to pay for prime tee times.

Have you stayed at Entrada?  It's quite nice but a little pricy. The Johnny Miller house alone is over $10,000 for a week.

Here's the 2024 overseed schedule but I assume that after they re-open, each course is CPO for a week or two but at least this gives you an idea when each course is planning to overseed.
