Change out putter grip

So I lost my 2017 TM Berwick putter with a SS Pistol 1.0 grip. I really liked that putter and was really dialed in - it was a great mixture of steadiness in the short putts and touch in the longer putts. So nosing around the usual places for a TM Berwick replacement putter and have a few candidates but all of them have other grips and the primary candidates have what look like to be SS Fatso (maybe 3.0) grips. If I buy one of them I'd replace the Fatso with a Pistol 1.0 grip from GolfWorks.

 

I've changed grips on my irons and woods before and removed the old grips using a carpet cutting blade but I have no idea on how to remove a Fatso grip from a putter. Can you all help guide me through this?

Superstroke grips cut the same way regular grips do. Regular hook blade. They just take a little extra work.

 

Make sure you use enough solvent for the new grip install. The SS grips can be a little tough to get on the shaft at first, but other than that no different than any other grip.

I've used a razor blade and cut right down the back seam on SS grips in the past with good results.

Thanks. Found a putter on EBay and bought a grip from Golfworks. Scheduled to be delivered early next week. In the meantime using a TM Spider which is money on the short putts but have difficulty with distance control.
