MEMBER REVIEWS: Mitsubishi Golf Diamana WB Testing | See What Members Are Saying!

I have to admit I somewhat gave up on this shaft for me, and stuck the Motore back in for my last round. The driving still didn't improve. Lot of right misses. Being pretty frustrated as the rest of my game seems to be the best its ever been…. went and hit the AI smoke lineup. Hit them all great and the “rights” seemed to be gone, at least on the launch monitor. So I can confirm, this shaft looks amazing with an AI smoke TD!

I cant explain the whys because it just doesnt make sense, but for whatever reason I was struggling with the LTDx. The interesting part to me is with the new head, the WB actually feels a little more lively.

The new combo was absolutely dynamite today. Balls starting on my line and just falling off to the right 5-10 yards. 10/12 fairways hit. Handled the wind like a dream. So glad it worked out. Just goes to show, head/shaft combo matters. I thought it was too much shaft for me in the LTDX, but with this head it feels great.

Still going back and forth.  No question I have to setup the driver differently for both shafts.  In the end I get very similar results.  Both have different feels.  Feel the same as I stated in my last post, if you are looking for a low/low shaft and don't like the feel of the HZRDUS or Tensei White, the WB is well work the look.  Higher SS players should not be concerned with the higher torque in the WB.  It holds up very well.

Wanted to post a semi-lengthy update for the thread. I have been way too busy this past month, as well as fighting through a wrist injury and recurring lower back troubles. However, I have been able to do quite a bit more testing on and off the course and am still finding the results to be great.

In my most recent update, I noted how I wasn't sure if my "Gamer" TR Blue 6s was really the one, and boy am I now torn. I was lucky enough to be a part of a buddies bachelor weekend this past weekend in Pinehurst NC, and carried along the WB as well as the TR Blue just to have if my wrist was acting up and I needed something a little softer in the handle.

Lo and behold, I had wrist pain both days on the course, so the TR Blue went in. Just a little easier for me to swing. Results wise, I don't think i've ever had a better two days of driving than I did this Friday/Saturday. Drivers were just point and shoot. Set up for a corner cutting fade, hit it. Set up to force a draw, hit it. etc. and we had an absolute blast. I think this process may have clued me in on just how hard i'm trying to make myself hit something that's pretty demanding like a TR Black, or a WB. I do hit the ball pretty hard for a stiff player, and can definitely poke one out there to 300+ with a little roll, but if my thought process of "Oh, this shaft is pretty stout, I definitely have to swing hard." is causing me to put strain on my body, it's definitely not the one - and I think that's what i'm getting at. The WB is sleek, stable, familiar, but it is demanding, even in measly stiff haha. Same as the TR Black. As you know, these are for your aggressive players that swing like that every time - and I don't think i'd lump myself in that strongman pack. Just need a shaft that can put up with a little tug when I try and kill one, and I think the TR Blue is back to being my gamer for now. It fits the bill for me.

For the golfers who are interested in the WB, PLEASE try it. It's unbelievable. And just because it may not be going in my bag, doesn't mean it shouldn't go in yours. If you're a high feel player like myself, and looking for something like a TR Black with a little more movement in the tip/spin, this could be your shaft. I could see this pairing excellently with the Qi10 LS, Ai TD, and even the new GT3/4 heads to add a little spin.

I just want to say how thankful I am to both GolfWRX and Mitsubishi for this incredible opportunity and express just how lucky I feel to be able to be apart of this/test top quality equipment from one of the best manufacturers in the game. I'm going to be watching the BB testing super closely as well! I think that profile may put up with my ever evolving, and injury ridden swing as well. May have to buy one for my D/3W when I start tinkering again with the new GT line. Should be my final update for now, but if my body heals up and the WB somehow finds its way back in my bag for quite a few rounds/trackman time, i'm sure i'll update. Thanks!

Great post and I had similar feels with my original setup. I changed heads and the shaft feels much more responsive. Strange how that works. 2 rounds in, Im 15/21 fairways hit. Ill gladly take 71% fairways with driver. Have a third round tomorrow, hoping it continues.

@Red4282 curious how you settled on the 53TX flex. I assume it's really similar to 63X. Did you hit both by chance?

Just pure chance really. Im 42 so with age in mind just wanted to try something a bit lighter. I recently moved from 130g to 120g in the irons, with success. I have not hit the 63x so I cant say for sure, Id imagine they are similar but with 5 extra grams. The torque values are wildly different and not sure I understand that because the 53tx does NOT feel like a shaft that has a 4.6 torque value. Its still in the bag as of today by the way, in the AI Smoke TD. Its been great.

Thank you. I guess I'll be able to answer my own question in a week or two. Just picked up the 53TX on BST and have been playing the 63X for most of the year. Went back and forth between the two originally when I ordered blind so interested to see how they compare.

So how is everyone liking their WB’s currently?  I still love mine. The WB with the Ping 430 LST is a great combo!  Would love to try it in the Callaway Smoke Triple Diamond.  That was my favorite driver head when I did my fitting in the spring but just couldn’t get any shaft to pair with it that would beat out the numbers and results I was getting with the Ping.

Just picked one up recently. I was always told that I needed the heaviest and stiffest profiles due to my CHS 130-135 and when I got after it 140+.I tried the 75-80 gram profiles for 2 years now and I finally made the switch to 60-70 grams cause that was the weight I used when I drove the ball the best.  A friend of mine mentioned I should take a look this shaft he said it really stout/stable but has feel. I got a 63TX cut it down to 44.75" play length in a Krank Formula Fire Pro 9* I am not a very high spin player with driver but need the stability of low low. I have had this shaft for about 2 weeks now and its honestly incredible. Ive tried shafts from pretty much every brand and this shaft really surprised me when I hit it. I can feel it kick but very minimally and its as stable as anything I have hit. I change things often but I dont see it coming out of the driver for the near future. Might pick up a 83TX for my 3 wood but my 3 wood is new so I gotta give it a chance.

Looking to pick up a WB in 53, open to suggestions, on the course around 107, back injuries, but still want to keep playing, I've had about the same amount of surgeries at TW, its hard at times to play but once I'm warmed up, I can still move it for a 50 something....maybe 3 or 4 generations ago, the Ahina 70X, my best golf was with that shaft in an i20.  So thinking WB 53 in X.....any suggestions are welcome.

You're faster than me. But I have had eye openingly good results with the 43 X. Super lightweight, but super stable. I trust that any bad shots are me, and not the shaft, which is not how I have found anything else in this sort of weight range.

I think you would have great results with the 53x.

Were you able to get a good feel between the two? I really like my 53TX in my titleist TSR3 but looking to try the 63X or TX.

Unfortunately I didn’t. There was a minor issue with the 53TX and didn’t get a chance to hit it. Still playing the 63X but of course curious to try the lower weight.  I still prefer the 63X over other similar options like Ventus Black 6X.

I have been testing this shaft fairly hard over the last few months. What an absolutely killer shaft. Super stable and just the right touch of kick for a smooth but aggressive/fast transition, dispersion is excellent . Right now I’m averaging around 330-340 yards with a ProV1 left dash. Figured I would post this as a member who is testing this shaft as well even though I didn’t get one through WRx! Haha I caught a range ball today and sent it 323 yards for the weekly record. Made me chuckle

Haha thanks, trying to get ready for the spring season! I got mine in a 63 Tx. I tipped it 1” and set it to 45.75” and it’s been incredibly consistent since. It will be really hard to get it out of my bag! It replaced a House Of Forged Exp shaft that lasted quite some time as my Gamer shaft.

The new Diamana might be their best one yet.  Great numbers.  All comes down to feel.  Seeing more and more of these making their way into the tour players bags.

Yeah they did a great job. I’m a huge fan of Low Low shafts and have hit them all and so far this one is right at the top. I was telling my father he would probably enjoy the Blueboard.

I’m a stability freak. My favorite shaft of all time is a 4X-stiff Paderson Kinettix velocity LD70 and this Whiteboard may have dethroned it.

Yes sir, that's a telephone pole. LOL

I'm the opposite, I would use a Regular or senior flex if I could time it consistently...but since I can't, this is the best alternative route!

I can square up nearly any flex shaft but once I dip into regular or below my dispersion widens up significantly, playable but not lovable. I’m testing the new Hi Bore XL Lite here on the forum and it has a regular flex in it, it’s been insanely repeatable but not as ballistic as my gamer setup.
