I haven't gamed mine a ton.  I have a few light spots on the face from contact with sand.  The bottom hasn't worn really at all yet.

Anyone know the headweight on the 2019 San Diego with the 20g sole plate?  Google is not helping me out here.  I assume it is probably 360 because the 2022 std weight is that but would appreciate it if someone can confirm this.

I'm sure if you reached out to Toulon they would get right back to you.  I'm not sure on that model.

Second this. I would imagine you would be close to 360-65g with that 20g plate on. Most of their models are about 350-355g stock.

Just called Callaway as they have all this data.   They said that the 2019 with the 20g plate is 350g.  Interesting.

I thought early Toulon SD without a plate installed was 343 g head weight ....

From what I could gather googling, the 2017 SD (the one with only partial diamond milling on face) was 348 w/out the plate and the 7g plate was standard making the standard weight 355g.  I asked Callaway about the 2019 SD which is the one with full milling on the face. Of course, who knows if the person I called was looking at the right putter specs.

Does anyone know what Toulon's business model is for the 24 line? Are they made to order? Or did they produce an X amount of heads that they expect to sell? Should we see sales on the 24 line once the 25s come out?

I don't think Toulon has any CNC's in house or do any of their own milling. I think they still have a handshake agreement with Odyssey/Callaway to mill their heads right now, I may be wrong on that but it's what I heard after the split happened.

I would guess that they still have heads to sell.  They could just rebrand their next line at the time it's launched.  Could lose the model year designation altogether.

That is what I was thinking as some heads are sold out, some are not. Assuming the heads not sold out will roll over for the next line. Heads sold out might get axed. Pure speculation of course.

I measured the weight as 361 grams. I believe it was listed as 360 grams with the S20 weight.

Just realized you were asking about the one with sole plate. I thought the 2019 was the one with 2 forward toe/heel weights. Thats what I have.

The 3rd gen San Diego (one with two weights) is 338 grams without weights. Mine is a garage with slant neck but it should be the same or close to the same weight as the standard plumbers neck model.

I wanted to ask a question for those who have been following Toulon from their beginnings. Was the original diamond milling "hype" and now they are just like any other high end putter (IE Scotty Camerons)?  Would appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

The diamond milling is great. It's soft and puts a nice roll on the ball. It's one reason why I still use a 1st gen Las Vegas. I wouldn't call it a hype. The feel was kind of polarizing. I think its a good idea to evolve/vary face millings between generations for some variety.

Picked up a new grip for my first run.  Color is pretty close to the accent paint color.  Looks really good against the black shaft and chocolate LV H1 head.  Lamkin has a nice formulation for Toulon deep etched grips.  They are softer than normal and feel great.

I really like the diamond milling. It is visually interesting and feels good to me. Each generation was slightly different but they all felt great. It is a firmer crisper feel than a deep milling. I also like the milling on the first run putters. I don’t expect my putter to correct my mistakes or put a good roll on the ball. I just want good feedback so I know how I struck the ball and can have good distance control.

Yes.  The grip is just a bit more blue while the paint fill is slightly green.  That being said it's hard to tell unless you're really looking.  Put it on there.  The blue really pops!

Exactly how I feel about the color. Just can’t decide if I prefer the black or teal grip. It looks really good with the black shaft. I have a chrome shaft so the teal doesn’t give the same look.

“Verified with Sean today that this was a tour request for sure and it actually started out as a RH putter. Removed the hosel and cut and weld it on the opposite side. 1 of 1 for sure.”
