Here’s Rancho! Gosh, this thing is beautiful. I know it’s easy to say when I’ve got a few good looking putters but it also makes it difficult as well. Launch after launch, they don’t miss. I miss putts, they hit with launches. Basically the whole story here.

how does that more “traditional Toulon” milling feel compared to the 24 and 25 fine milled lines?

I wish I could compare the 2022 milling to this one on the Season Opener. I'd say it's in between '24 and '25. I just got out to roll it at the course and it was great.

Was emailing with Preston last week about the size of these two plus the LV and he sent over this photo (wrong hosel on the mini but he said to pretend it was H1). He said the Alcatraz Mini has the longest blade length by a pretty considerable margin.

very interesting.... what's supposed to be the difference between the atlanta and mini alcatraz at that point? seems size is mostly similar (besides length) and toe hang is the same for an H1 too

It’s a visual thing for sure with the alignment aid and cut out difference.

Has anyone ever sent a putter back to Toulon to be reshafted? The double bend shaft on my Las Vegas broke at the connection point (Lab stroke carbon/steel connection) on a trip last year to North Carolina. I have tried to replace the shaft but it just isn't the same. 😞

I would just shoot their customer service an email.   They have been very responsive and helpful to exceeded my expectations every time I’ve reached out.

Somewhat new to Toulon putters. Have seen them and have been interested, but never pulled the trigger. Recently picked up a 24 1st run Austin in a trade somewhat unexpectedly. Quickly came to appreciate the quality. I moved on from the Austin because, well, I'm a WRXer. But found a nice alternative in a naked Garage Austin. Puts a perfect role on the ball, feel is outstanding, really can't find any flaws. Well, was a bit on the heavy side, so have an A7 weight coming soon. 

 

But this is all to hold me over while the guys finish up a custom project. Will post picks of that soon, should be in hand early next week. What a great group of guys at Toulon, really set themselves apart with how they make the putter fit the player, not the other way around. Sean, Preston, Jon, can't say enough good things about the experience and communication. Best in the industry.

That looks so good! I love the Austin with no alignment.

Yeah, great find. I can't do flange lines, hurts more than it helps. Hard to find stock anser style putters out there with a blank flange, usually I'm paying people to do custom work for that setup.

How does the milling feel on that one compared to First Run Austin? I've been tempted to pick up the older model of San Diego or Austin with the diamond milling. I nearly got a Toulon Garage (Odyssey ran) in chocolate with a sight dot and my daughter's names on it.

A little tricky to compare, the first run had a steel shaft, this garage Austin has a BGT Stability Tour One graphite shaft. I want to say the diamond milling is giving me better feedback than the mid milling on the 1st run. Both are soft off the face, maybe the 1st run felt a little more muted. Not bad by any means, just comparing to the other. The role off the face on both is perfect. Personally, I like the diamond milling vs the 1st run mid milling. I like a little more feedback. But even with an X ball, both feel great. 

 

If I got the weight and balance perfect, and adjusted them to my specs, I would game either putter without hesitation.

Also, the dot frees me up when I’m feeling a bit too technical with my stroke and setup. Line up the face and go! 

how is the carbon proto in terms of feel? its such a good looking putter. and yeah personally I hate the flange line cuz I never look at it, sight dot feels best for me or if anything no sight at all

Carbon Proto is the best feeling putter I've ever used. Period. So sweet at impact.

Have you tried putting lighter weights in the head?  The stroke labs had heavier heads because of how the shafts and the weights in the grips were balanced.  The all steel shaft is going to feel heavier.  When I ordered my Las Vegas at 35", the steel shaft head weight was 355g and the stroke lab head weight was 365g for the same length.  Lighter weights may help make it feel better.

Tryouts still ongoing for what is making the bag this year. Only thing I was able to eliminate so far was the mini alc with the 4.5 neck.

Yeah, if you can find one, snag it. They went incredibly quick when they launched.
