Made my decision and have ordered a Miami with the H1 hosel. I like that it has forward CG but also stability and is not huge. It is almost the exact size of the Odyssey AI Milled Eight T, which is a touch smaller than my Spider, and I prefer the overall shape and lines on the Miami. Being able to get it with a plumber’s neck was key. 

 

Preston was very helpful and so was another Miami owner, @getair23. Thanks guys! I’ll post photos when it arrives. 

Ordered a custom Miami over Easter weekend and got a shipping notice today. Impressive.

Since tweaking the grip (odd fix), I’m feeling more at home with my Atlanta H1. 15 putts through 9 holes.

Nice! Grips can be easy fixes that are easily overlooked sometimes.

I've used the GP Pro Green Star Cord grip before, but I ditched it after the summer last year for whatever reason. I'm glad I returned to it because it fits perfectly in my hands; it's just right. Putting it back on my putter has been great. I seem to have found my touch on the green, and my speed has improved.

I’m really close to ordering a chocolate Atlanta from callaway online. I have the original Atlanta and it’s one of my all time faves. The newer version is slightly larger which may be fine but I really want the chocolate finish. 
 

for those w experience with the chocolate finish are there any choice colors? I was playing around and liked Mint the best.

I’d LOVE an Atlanta H1 in chocolate.

I was worried for a bit, was having serious issues with speed control, but was playing different courses, and greens change a lot here in the Spring , but everything has come back around, rolling this great now that greens are more consistent.

The Miami H1 has arrived and it sure is a beautiful putter. Sits very square too. Love the lines. These do look like pieces of milled art. Will get it out on a green tomorrow. 
 

For those curious about its dimensions, here it is next to my Spider Tour, which is not a large mallet. They’re very comparable. The Miami is a touch longer heel to toe and the Spider is longer front to back.

Deep etched are one of the goats. Really depends on your feel preference. I like the firm rubber grips over the spongy super strokes.

I had used the stock Toulon grips for a bit but I’ve recently gravitated back to the Golf Pride Pro Cord Green Star. I just love the shape. The Deep Etch Cord is a second place for me followed by the stock grip.

I got the stock midsize pistol, and like it pretty well, have always used a SS Pistol 1.0, but haven’t made a switch yet.

 

I am a bit intrigued by the Pro only, need to do some research on that.

Pro star is a great grip. Not a fan of the blue but have used the red and green and like them both.

Sending my La Jolla off to the Garage to be tinkered on. I'll be adding a Mitsubishi P135 shaft to it and the Golf Pride Green Star. I guess it's fitting that my music is on shuffle, and The Waiting by Tom Petty came on out of nowhere.

Made a post but got no replies. For those who have or have used one, what are your overall thoughts on the Austin model (specifically the “First Run” edition)? Any feedback on the feel?

I thought the feel was good. Soft, but still gave feedback on strike location. Preferred the milling on the first run over the deep milling on a Super Select.

The First Run milling was good. I really enjoyed the feel of the Austin. It had such a nice feel at impact that felt more dense compared to other blades out there. Sweet feeling.

Can anyone compare the older chocolate finish to the First Run finish? 
I’m in possession of a ATL 1st run and it’s really shiny, a bit showy, but quite shiny especially in the sun, a bit bronze or penny shade. I’m curious if the older chocolate was similar color but more muted/matte or different all together. 
Comparing OG ATL to this 1st Run I’m surprised how nice the 1st run feels. I say that b/c I’ve read ‘firmer’ applied to them but I’d say it’s a more composed feel, classier without being firm at all to me.

IIRC, the older chocolate was darker than the First Run chocolate finish. I like the First Run chocolate color. If I could, I'd have all my putters in that finish. I love it that much.

I would agree the deep etch is one of my favorite grips of all time. I do have several as back ups, but with that said I really like the new 2024/2025 grip.

Some of you will see it in the putter forum. My son and I went out and visited the Toulon Studio, week and a half ago. I added some pictures. My son got fitted for a center shafted Alcatraz and I ended up going with an Alcatraz mini H4.5. What an experience

Thanks, I see it looks darker, can you comment on its gloss vs matte? The OG anthracite was nice and muted.

I recently put the Iomic Absoulte X on my gamer and love it! My fav grip is the SC chord, however it is a bit expensive and not always available

Thinking I need an Alcatraz Mini in my life. Scooped up a mint Atlanta H1 (currently on BST), but the flange sightline messes with my eyes a bit. Great shape though.

To you guys that have the Alcatraz and the Atlanta, which do you prefer and why?  I have the Alcatraz now but thinking about selling and picking up an Atlanta.
