Callaway 2X Trade-in Bonus (June 2nd to July 1st)

Just to give everyone an idea on timing.  I've made a few 2x trades, but my first was purchased June 2.  The trade was received by Callaway June 5.  I received the confirmation today, June 18, that the trade was completed.  So about 9 business days.  Better than I expected with the volume I'm sure they're receiving. 

I traded an AI Smoke for an AI Smoke TD Max.  The driver head was in great condition, cut down by local shop to 44.5".  Turned out to be an even swap, I only had to cover tax which my rewards points came in handy for.

i have to say..as a first timer, this 2x trade deal is f*ckin amazing lol. Im not sure i couldve done better selling my used clubs individually esp after factoring in fees, shipping etc., but the fact that i got rid of 7 retired clubs in one fell swoop with zero headaches from ebay/facebook, shipping, misc cost, TIME, answering buyer questions, more TIME, is magical.

 

thats all i have to contribute to this thread lol.

Apex UW.  I'm not a big Callaway guy. But the UW is the ONE Callaway club i have always wanted but i held off. The joy of getting this club for less than $10 required zero mental justification. I jumped on it.

Am I remembering correctly that Callaway ran this promo 2x last year? I've been kicking around the idea of swapping for another Paradym TD, but I really want to try that Max TD... maybe they'll eventually make their way to CPO next season lol

if you make an account and add whatever in there it stays. If you’re not logged in it wipes everything out. That’s at least my experience.

I've tried logging into my account, clearing cookies/cache, and I'm still having issues.

I called Callaway and there having issues with the cart saving.. Told me a bug 🐛

Just checked it and seems to be working.  Clear your browser history and see if that helps.

As am I. Firefox, Safari, doesn't matter. Stuff is just stuck in the cart, can't remove or change anything. Hard to fathom how this has not been fixed yet.

Just so I have the right expectations, did you receive any notice from Callaway before the credit was issued, such as "Clubs received"?

No, they dont send anything like that. Only a confirmation when the trade is complete and refund sent. You can check the tracking number in your account though to see when it arrived at Callaway in TX.

Someone already answered, but Callaway doesn't really give a heads up.  Just make sure your box was received using the tracking number and then wait patiently. I always CYA by saving that number and a printout of the original order/trade just in case things go sideways, but Callaway has been top notch with every transaction I've ever made there.  

 

I've had them take longer than anticipated and be much quicker than I planned when trading items.  I've yet to have a deduction, I've yet to even hear of one happening.

I just dropped off a trade with UPS that includes wedges with my initials and a bible verse stamped in them and a Biggest Big Bertha driver with a HZRDUS shaft - definitely not factory installed.  If they're going to deduct, this would be a candidate.

This would be my first time doing a trade in like this. Do I pay the full amount and then get credited back the $1100 from trade in once they receive my clubs I send them? Thanks.

We'll see if there's a deduction, but these are the initial values.  Double them for the promotion.  The first 4 were no-brainers.  I'd never get that much money selling them on my own, and they were just sitting in an extra bag not being used.  But I worry I'll regret trading the EXO Seven.  It was in phenomenal condition, and nothing has been able to knock it out of the bag until I tried the Jailbird.  I've only played 2 rounds with the Jailbird, and I hope my decision wasn't too hasty.

CPO doesnt grade anything. Whatever it says is what you'll get.

Yes, but you'll get double the PGA SS or GG trade values.  They won't honor Callaway's value.  At least the ones in Houston won't.
