Callaway 2X Trade-in Bonus (June 2nd to July 1st)

After checking out, my order doesn’t show the trade bonus and only shows the trade total.  Is the bonus applied after they receive the clubs?  It’s only been a year since I last did this but I have no memory of how it worked 😂

Never really saw the LH version around, but I ordered mine from Scheels based on a tip from another WRXer. They delivered, and it has been an awesome driver for me.

The entire thing doesn’t make sense. Like how does Callaway still not even acknowledge making this head in LH…?  Anyway, they do, and Scheels seems to be one of the few stores that has plenty of them. Living in the Mid-Atlantic, I had never heard of Scheels, but like I said, all went well with the order.

 

The stock Tensei shaft is a good shaft, but it wasn’t ideal for me. I tried out a bunch of my Callaway shafts with the TD Max, and the MMT 60 S stood out for me. Like I said, it has been a very good driver. Forgiving and long. Play around with the weights—I am currently at 10g front and 7g back, but I have tried different combinations, different weights, etc. It can make a big difference.

Called Golfdom in Annapolis (owned by WorldWideGolf).  The rep seemed like i woke him up from his afternoon nappy time so he was pissed.  They use their values for trade ins and it is a one for one trade, aka, you buy a Elyte driver, and you can only trade in one club to get the 2x bonus.  Smh.  

 

I really want a Mini driver, but it looks like the special might end before they restock, so I might just pick up a TD Tour Draw.

Get the tour draw and if you don’t like it, you can return it within 30 days for store credit and get the mini when they’re back in stock.

After your post that it was available at Scheels I did a google search for them and amazingly my local Golf Galaxy had one in stock. Went to the store and it wasn’t on the floor so I asked the associate and he found it in the back.  
This is the craziest club I’ve ever seen as far as what the OEM states are available and what you can actually find at retail.

Was just at my local PGA superstore out in Sandy, Utah. Traded in 3 clubs and they gave me 2 times trade in. Bought my wife a set of Elyte irons. Irons was almost half off after trade in.  FYI my trade in at PGA superstore was $11 less then what Callaway quoted me. I’d rather take the $11 loss then wait for the 10-14 days for the credit to go through the Callaway website. But ymmv with your trade in.

I've found some of the putters have a pretty low purchase price on CPO (if you can find them at 30+% off) compared to the trade-in value you get from Callaway - especially with the double trade-in bonus.  Newer or new-ish models like the AI milled or Tri-hot 5K.  I just bought a couple of AI one milled putters for $300 and traded them into Callaway for $700 of trade credit.

I just wish they'd allow trade-ins of Sub70. I have a set of irons collecting dust I've been too lazy to photograph and list for sale but would gladly trade them in towards a new fairway wood.

Take it into your nearest PGA Superstore.  If you don't have a PGA superstore. Contact your closest local golf store and see if they are doing the 2x trade in promotion. Just be mindful the 2x trade in bonus is only good towards the new Elyte and Apex line.

Yea, problem is I am looking to get rid of those + a few others and haven't found a spot near me that will let me trade in multiples.

Probably juse a question of resale value? Saw a couple of Sub70 sets this summer at 2nd Swing in the $250-300 range. For some of these DTC brands I'm not sure how much Cally could offer in value to make it worth their time at that rate.

I'm sure you're right. I get it, just wish they would let me trade them in 🙂. Same with my Older TEE hybrid - I am sure they don't think they could sell it so they won't take it from me.

Received my full trade in value credited to my credit card today. 2 weeks after sending them in so very happy with that!
