Paderson Hypersonic vs TPT Nitro Hi

Anyone that's hit both of these share their thoughts on the differences between the two in the softer flexes for speed? Speed, launch, stability etc.

Current Setup:

Krank Fire 13 degree House of Forged Code 85 4X

3-P Sub 70 TC/MB combo bent 3 degrees weak PX LS 7.0

If your going TPT it would be best to go get fitted since they expensive like the Nitro. But I dont think they honor warranty on LD shafts due to club speed. I got fitted for a TPT Power shaft for play and asked about a LD shaft and the warranty put me off.

If your in serious competition I would go TPT, but if its for fun I would stick with Paderson or House Of Forged.

Compete in the WLD Senior Tour and have gone through the testing of multiple shafts and companies. The TPT Nitro is the longest and gives me a jump in swing speed but if my mechanics are off it's hard to control that whippy shaft. Then the hypersonic and next is the Patterson Kinetixx. The Kinetixx is my go-to fairway finder and is more consistent, but the TPT Nitro has the extra octane for sure. Good luck with your testing. I am only 5'9" and 175 so even the little guy can hit bombs if you put in the work!

TPT through GolfWRX is sending me some shafts to test out in the near future. I hope to have launch monitor data along with on course playability results for everyone here. I just completed in a LD competition in Dallas this past weekend in some cold, rainy conditions. Temps ranged from upper 40's to mid 50's with a crosswind between 10-20 mph, occasional rain so not conducive for optimal ball speed and distance.

We were using Callaway Two stripe range balls. I exclusively used my Callaway Epic LD head set -2 neutral with the Kinetixx Hypersonic D10 shaft at 48"(maximum length under the ULD rules).  Launch monitor data during competition rounds:

Highest Ball Speed: 210 mph on a straight pull left

Average Ball Speed on grid hits between 199-202 mph

Longest Drive in grid 369 yds.

Longest Drive of the day(barely OB): 383

Average Drive distance within the grid: 352.8 yds.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a printout of other data points such as smash factor, launch angle, swing speed, side spin, etc.

Overall, good day in the cold, rainy conditions using range balls.

I did have 1 OB set out of 11 sets so consistent in finding the grid.

I will be posting results of the testing of the TPT Nitro 21HI in the near future.

Keep working, Keep grinding, Keep training, and Keep hitting Bombs for Jesus!

Don't forget to help others along the way in your journey!

Take care and God bless!

God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: And setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war; So that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: And thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; So that my feet did not slip.

I use the Kinetixx Velocity LD20 as of right now.

I used to play a Mitsubishi Diamana WB TX 83g tipped 1.5"

How noticeable is the dispersion drop off?

Reason I ask is I feel like I don't have any drop in dispersion going to a softer shaft and obviously that is a big jump between those two and want to see if others on the high end of the SS spectrum see the same?

I currently have a 70 gram shaft at 240 CPM as my gamer. It is really low torque though at 2.5 degrees.

Current Setup:

My issue wasn't necessarily dispersion but with the Diamana WB was the high spin rates and to high of a launch angle. I naturally hit the ball high, but I wanted something that I could work better especially in windy conditions. Keep it low on demand when needed. I was already using the Kinetixx Velocity LD20 in my LD setup and l liked the way I could hit a high fade, low bullets, or draw when needed so I just transferred it over to my gamer.

Gotcha. For whatever reason I feel more comfortable with the softer shaft in regular play as well..

Are you noticing any speed differences between the tot and the paderson stuff?

I just got a new TPT Nitro 21Hi which is comparable to the Kinetixx Hypersonic D10. I will let you know after some more testing on the launch monitor. But I definitely have a higher swing speed with the TPT Nitro shafts compared to the Kinetixx Velocity LD20, but Velocity LD20 is definitely a stiffer shaft at 225 cpm vs the Hypersonic D10 at 215 cpm. I believe the TPT Nitro 21Hi is a 195 cpm so definitely softer and lighter than the Hypersonic, but the lightest offering from TPT vs the lightest offering from Paderson.

never heard of TFT but that’s weak engineering to not be able to handle LD shafts on warranty.
