page loading but scrolled alll the way to the bottom.

this problem has been around since i can remember. Everytime i click to go to the next page, its scrolled all the way to the bottom. I'd have to scroll all the way up. Its not a big issue cuz i have smooth scroll wheel so all i do is flick the mouse wheel and itll bring me back up top. But its starting to get me now lol.

 

Im on Windows 10. Firefox 127.0

 

Any help?

Per this thread there have been different problems when certain ads are displayed.

 

Are you using an ad blocker at all ? If not, you might want to try adding one, or both Adblocks. And if you're not, do you know which ads are shown on the page where page forward doesn't work ? Titleist perhaps ?

 

Anyway, that "paging forward", that went to the last post has been around for quite some time. It seemed to be fixed(?), for me anyway, since mid-April - or perhaps that's just when I noticed it.

 

But today, just now, on 2 different browsers (FF & Chrome), when I page forward, the next page displayed starts at the TOP (no longer at the bottom).

Im on Firefox and i use Ublock Origin Adblock. But the issue seems to be gone all of a sudden. For now at least.

I came here and, yep, found a thread, cuz it's been doing this to me for weeks/months. I don't think I have ever seen this problem on a forum and I'm a forum guy on many subjects. It's frustrating. I don't think I have any adblocker but will see if I can get one. Windows, Firefox.

 

It does this every time I click next page or a page number.

Are you sure ? I have both FF & Chrome don't my MAC desktop and they both go to the TOP of the next or previous page when clicked on.

 

Same thing when clicking a page #, next or previous.

 

Until a little while ago pagination always went to the BOTTON of each page. Ideally going "forward" should go to TOP and going backward should go to BOTTOM but I don't think the software controls have that functionality.

That link took me to "Content View Behavior".

 

Don't think he's talking about clicking on the bolded bullet, star of headings from a list of threads within a given forum.

 

I think he's talking about pagination from the top and bottom of each page within a thread.

The https://www.avsim.com/forums apparently have the same forum software as here and I've had it happen there frequently as well.
