Great pictures and set up. How are you liking the GD GC? I'd like to try it and it fits the general profile of shafts that work well for me. I currently play the Ventus TR Blue which I like, but don't love.

TSR3 -> GT3 player here.  Can’t address your specific spin/loft concerns, as I was fit based on my needs, but overall, I haven’t seen a whole lot of difference in performance so far, other than a 6-sh yard gain with the GT3.

The GC is fantastic. I didn't realize how good it would be until I hit the drives that were struck well and had the flight I was looking for. It was very repeatable. I hit the VF, and while it was smooth, it didn't allow me to have a repeatable delivery into the ball and threw off my strike. The Ventus Blue + was very good in the fairway wood. I have two shafts that are different OEMs but provide me with good results and consistency.

The GC is a fitting name.

Thanks! I hit them side by side but both were 9*. GT definitely won there. Gonna try the 10* and see how it goes

I’ve gone to 10 degree from 9, giving me better launch and no real uptick in spin except on low mishits which are staying in air much longer.

What was your best with the TSR line? Is this the GT3 vs TSR3?

I have been a high 160s to low 170s player my entire life. Not until the GT3 have I sustained mid 170s and this is the first time I’ve ever cracked 180.

I briefly played a TSR3, but it was booted due to too much spin on mishits. The only driver that has remotely chalked the GT3 was the AI Smoke TD. However, the GT3 edged it in every category. I posted a comparison a few pages back.

Have GT2 9 degree turned up to 10.5 and honestly could not be more pleased with a driver. I originally ordered with VF 6S shaft but took an off the rack one home with me on the release day with the Tensei Black 1K and have been so pleased with the combo I cancelled the custom order.

Seriously considered the 13.5 3wood but I just love my Darkspeed 3+ wood that I don't see a reason to change. Love my T150s (but that is for another thread 😜) and shot my lowest score ever, even par 71 at Pacific Dunes in Bandon a few weeks ago so just really pleased with how everything is working together an all starts off the tee.

I been struggling with my GT3 for a few rounds. I had it set at B1(flat) which is what I've had my TSI and TSR set at for the last few years. Although I was playing the Hazardous Black 6.5 in those clubs. Yesterday I finally decided to hit the range to experiment. Well, I changed to B2 and it seemed to unlock the club!!! The strikes were all centred and the ball was flying a mile in the cold Canadian temps. I have never played any club upright(irons are 2flat), let alone Driver. We will see if this is a fluke or not....hopefully not.

I had not played a club in an upright setting before either until the last 6 months with my previous driver. The GT3 I have is set at A2, it’s so good.

Had a chance to spend an hour on a LM last week to try and get some numbers following switching in a Ventus Blue shaft.

The numbers are so consistent in spin, launch and carry distance. It was sitting around the 2400 - 2700 rpm range. I tried changing the Surefit sleeve to lower the loft, it took the spin down to 1900 -2300 (one of those was a toe strike). It’s nice to know the option is there.

I am so impressed with this driver, so many have been fade bias or just sit really open in recent years. It’s great to have something that can be changed up to suit. It’s also very workable in terms of shot shape without loosing out on any distance.

I'll have to wait for winter, then I'll jump on a LM. From my ball flight, the spin and trajectory look good, but I'd like to see the actual numbers. Ill probably fiddle anyways😁

I'm super impressed also. The sound and feel are even better than my previous Titleist drivers.

I was fitted recently for the GT2.  I've always played low launch/low spin shafts such as HZRDUS Black and Kai'Li White.  The 1K Blue performed a little better for me.

Glad to hear it.

I’ve kept the Blue but currently gaming the Orange 1K in my GT2 driver.

I was just fit into a GT2 8* with GD Tour AD-UB 7s. Such a good looking head, and it outperformed everything else I hit. The only problem is the $850 I will have to part with to put it in the bag.

The Triple Diamond Max comparison with the GT2 was what I really wanted to hear, especially since I wouldn't be able to try it as a lefty.

I will try both this week.  Have the GT2 now and TD Max should be delivered tomorrow.  GT2 has Tensei 1k Blue and the TD Max will have the Tensei AV-XLINK Blue so shafts should be very comparable.

I think they'll be similar in forgiveness, but the GT2 could be lower spinning. Yes shafts should be comparable! I was hoping the 1K Blue was the 1K Pro Blue, but it was entirely too soft for me in profile.

Went and hit a GT2 this week, bit of a spur of the moment decision just out of curiosity. The good strikes were 20yds further than the Tsi2 I’m currently gaming (I put the TSR2 away a while ago as off centre hits were a disaster) with very similar stock shafts. Its more than perked my interest, going to get a full fitting at the Titleist national fitting centre next week to go through all options.

Hit both today.  Driving range hit GT2 only and it was very good.  First nine holes in used GT2, seven drives.  Four drives were very good, 265 to 280.  Sliced one, my fault of course and two faded some leaving one playable and one not.

Back nine I used the 3D Max with the 10 gram weight in forward position.  First time in my life, I hit every drive straight.  I normally fade the ball very consistently but the ball was very straight.  Had two drives around 285 as well.  Going to keep playing with both until time to make decision on which to keep.

Today 3D Max won.

I got fit into the gt3 a few weeks ago, coming from tsi3 and tsr3. Ended up at same loft and lie but went to a Fuji ventus blue. Got the height I wanted and shaft is solid enough to feel like I could let it rip. All in it was a significant upgrade, but probably 70% shaft. Was in the stock Tensei 1k black before.
Tried the gt2 as well. Wasn’t bad but didn’t feel as comfortable to me as the gt3. Probably just familiarity but I find it’s plenty forgiving and just too pretty :-).

How did the comparison of 430LST and GT2 go for you? I’m in the same boat but haven’t been on the course yet. 430LST was a little too unwieldy at times

Wasn’t fit into it, but tried the GT2 and 3 several times on the store’s outdoor range.  Settled on the GT3 with the Tensei blue 1K in stiff after a short session on their launch monitor with some pretty amazing numbers. Shaft was perfect in the A1 setting.  97 mph swing speed, 280ish yards and 25-2800 spin.

Had it at the local sim yesterday since it’s winter here.  Missed two fairways in nine holes played by mere yards and LONG on the PGA Stadium course in Palm Springs. I’ve played the course IRL and was in much better position on every hole.  Can’t wait for next month’s trip to Hilton Head. I may have the length to play the blues again.  lol

I know two people who have been fit into it ... one says its clearly the best driver on the market -- he gained around 3 mph and 10 yards and hits it farther and straighter than anything else.  Another says that it's a bit better than the TSR3.  Anyone else been fit?  How does it compare to either Qi10 VS / Dot or Callaway Triple Diamond?  Thanks for any responses!

Given that we hear this every 2-3 years or so, it would imply, mathematically, that since the 905R, everyone should be carrying it 300yards now…
