In Search of Lowest LAUNCH Driver Shaft Possible

I'm searching for the lowest launching driver shaft possible.. low-mid spin would be ideal. I hover right around 3,000 rpm and consistently launch around +8.. Swing speed is around 125, 130 if i go after one. I'm currently using a HZRDS T1100, slightly tipped. Haven't been able to find anything lower launching.  I understand I could stand to hit down on the ball a but more.. but the spin goes through the roof. Any suggestions?

Shafts don't spin or launch. They can only influence how you deliver the club to the ball. Strike location and dynamic loft namely.

 

Which shaft that give you the lowest launch possible is only possible to determine through testing. What's low launch to some is high launch to others. Individual reactions.

 

Although worth saying for most people shafts have little influence compared to head and technique changes.

 

You should get some spray or impact tape to check where on the face your striking the ball first if you haven't already.

Also measure your dynamic loft and attack angle.

Without getting into the technical details of what a shaft actually does, the short answer would be try a Ventus Black TR 7X tipped at least 1".

 

With an AOA of +8 you might be a good candidate to try a shorter length as well.  You can spare some SS if it makes you cover the ball better to optimize launch and spin.  Straighter and just as long is always good.

I would disagree with you on this, at least through my experience anyway. I have a couple driver shafts that I play, one is high launch and the other low launch. I can swap them out and change nothing else at all and get 2 different launch trajectories.

Saying the shaft doesn't affect launch and spin is kind of a high brow thing to say.  It's technically correct because how you deliver the club is what changes launch and spin, but the shaft can influence how you deliver the club.

Agree with the recommendation for heavier Ventus black tipped at least one inch solely from the shaft piece of the equation.

The Ventus Blk 7X TR tipped 1” playing 45.5” is the lowest launching shaft Ive played. I have 2 ventus shafts set up that way on Ping adapters.  There is also TPT shafts, I just got fitted for one and it seems to Rival the ventus on trajectory.

Different driver head would be better than shaft, 8 degrees up with 3000 spin doesn’t jive yo me either.

You can always buy a LD head?
