Hardshell backpack for GC3. taking recommendations.

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for a hard shell back pack to carry a gc3 around. Kid traveling for ajga events and need a solution to bring the monitor along for practice.

The backpack for the GCQuad isn't even a hard shell. Are you worried about taking it on an airplane or something?

 

You could look at various cases that are made for DSLRs and lenses. Maybe start at B&H. They'll have some hard shell options, too, but I think that might be more than you need.

Not to thread jack or get too off topic but was curious if anyone knew if Foresight or any other company made a carrying strap that fits the GC3 like the one they have for the GCQuad? Or if this strap will fit a GC3? Something for easier handling on the course, have seen a lot of pros use this strap.

I’m almost tempted to buy it and if it’s too big to have it altered smaller. It would be nice if they made one for the GC3 now that they have 3 versions of it.

My buddy looked into it for his GC3. The strap doesn't really work on the GC3 because of the device tapers towards the top, and it just slides up when you're carrying it. The odds of the device sliding out are too great. The middle of the Quad is thinner than the top and bottom, sort of a waist, so the strap has a place where it's stable.

I was thinking of taking it to a tailor locally and getting adjustments done but for now it’s not much of an issue.

I got a camera bag from Walmart for like $25. I added some foam to it. One piece on the front flap and one on the button under the unit. The included dividers are foam too and I just set those up on the sides. It provides excellent protection and has back pack straps.
