No Daniels on that list ? I would put him on it. So in the My Amazing QB Club there is a NFC guy. 

 

 

from ESPN - Daniels is playing incredibly. Since the Commanders' current seven-game winning streak began in Week 13, Daniels has an 82.3 QBR that ranks second only to Josh Allen (entering Sunday) in that span.

Thanks for catching that Casual. That's right there are two games next week so that means a possible 40 points if you get both sides and totals correct in the two games. I have corrected it.

... I hate to sound like a broken record but this is just such a double edged sword. Unless you are a hater or the opposing team NOBODY wants to see Mahomes, Allen or Daniels out of the game because defenses head hunt. Does anyone wanna watch Wentz, Trubisky or Mariota in the playoffs? I am not talking about simple tackling because they want to punish a QB when they run. You don't see them wrapping the QB up but attempting to hit them with everything they have when they are going to the ground. I am sure my opinion is the minority but I would much rather see a penalty called that wasn't roughing, than letting defenders try and take a QB out of the game when it is. Stop the above link at :12 and you see both defenders dropping their shoulders and trying to hit Mahomes as he goes down with no attempt to "tackle" him at all. 

... That said, I also think it is the responsibility of the QB to slide in plenty of time to avoid those catastrophic hits. Far too many wait til the last second to slide putting the Refs in no mans land of having to make a judgement call. I have compared this before but kinda like a yellow light that usually gives you time to stop but some see yellow press the gas hitting a red in the intersection. QB's have that same option, just put on the brakes in time to stop and if they hit the gas and try to get through they are subject to those brutal hits. But even then you will still have those no mans land times when the light changes at the last second and you are gonna cut it very close. 

... Really getting into the minority now I would love to see the NFL return to actual tackling like Dick Lebeau bemoaned when they added a face mask to helmets and he said defenders will no longer primarily wrap up and tackle but will use their head and shoulders as a battering ram which will be dangerous for both players.

... Haha I think most probably feel that way. Listening to THE Ohio State blurted out as if they are different from the other State University's just puts them in the Frat Boy category for me. This was probably the worst matchup for fans as I imagine most want both teams to lose. 🫣

I only am pulling for ND because to me they are the lesser of two evils. Both fan bases and sports programs are so full of themselves.
