LOL, well he saw Williams up close and personal twice this year and I imagine he thought the combination of Williams, DJ Moore, Odunze, Kmet and hopefully Keenan Allen was just  about perfect for his offense. I imagine he needed assurances the Oline would be addressed and he would have a hand in the draft and FA acquisitions. The GM Pace would be a moron not to let him have his pick of whoever he wants. 

... And LOL that rumor mill can finally cease to exist. Last year it was reported Williams would not sign with the Bears and would sit out if the Bears selected him. This year Johnson would not sign with any team that didn't let him slelect his hand chosen GM. And both were click bait nonsense.

... Haha I would have hated to see Daniels behind that Oline for the Giants ranked 29th. He probably wouldn't have made it through the season. Although Williams somehow remained upright behind the Bears Oline ranked 24th. And Maye made it behind the Pat Oline at 32. One of the reasons Daniel's was so good was his Oline was ranked 7th.

... Perhaps you missed my earlier post when I said I had them pre draft rated as Maye, Williams, Daniels and after one year of play I rank them Daniels, Maye, Williams. He was clearly the best of the 3 and I am especially impressed with his poise. That said it seems like a great fit for Daniels in Washington with Kingsbury. For the sake of the league and all our own personal entertainment I hope Daniels stays relatively injury free because I really enjoy watching him play. But I also expect a huge leap from Williams next season with Ben Johnson running the offense and an improved Oline. Not sure what to expect from Maye as the Pats are more than a few pieces away from where they hope to be.

... I do think best case scenario is all 3 of them continue to play at such a high level that we can argue over which is best because this is a very special group. We will see such a massive drop in talent with the 2025 QB draft. You wont see them going 1, 2 and 3 nor will there be 6 QB's selected in the first 12 picks. I seriously doubt there will be 6 QB's taken in the first 2 or maybe even 3 rounds.
