The mere thought of having to watch my team lose in Philly is not something I relish

But to be in the Championship game is a minor miracle. I can not be happier for the state of the franchise 

Redskins, Commies, Commanders, whatever, it doesn't matter to me.  "Just Win Baby"!

So I guess I will go contrarian because we all know that a Commander's win would supersede any pick on my behalf.  

Eagles -5.5

I don't think the line really matters here.  Commanders go for it a lot on 4th down and their FG kicker is mediocre at best. I can see the Eagles controlling this game on the ground and racking up points on a defense that still looks vulnerable against the run.  Setting up Hurts to deal a meal for a big play here and there.  The Eagles defense is going to study the game tape and prepare to keep Daniels contained and McLaurin will get blanket coverage.  Running the ball will not be easy either with Carter on the line and no Cosmi.  They beat the Lions who were depleted on the defensive side by running the ball and controlling the clock.

Dump-offs to Ertz and Ekeler might be their only viable way of moving the ball and the Eagles will take advantage of no Cosmi on the OL.

The last game went over 

I think this one will be under 47.5 just a hunch

 

Buffalo +1.5

Like the Commanders the Chiefs have been involved in some late-game heroics. Chalk it up to Mahomes and his penchant for finding a way to win. But I honestly feel like Buffalo is the better all-around team while KC has the better coaching and home field.  That might not be enough this time because the Bills look like the team that will finally get to the Super Bowl with Josh Allen.  The Chiefs should have lost to the Raiders and the referees have bailed them out more often.  I hope they keep those yellow hankies in their pockets this week. Chiefs have a good defense but so do the Bills.  I see this as a close game give me the 1.5 and the Bills straight up to pull a mild upset. 

Give me the Under 47.5 I have no idea but who's counting?

Taylor Swift will get to go on vacation with her man after this weekend so all is not lost Chiefs fans.

The last game they played the Raiders fumbled at the KC 38 driving after forcing a punt, down by 2 points Aidan O'Connell fumbled the ball Game over.  KC is very good and they might even get 3 in a row. But I am not going to say they are a better team than the Bills

They can talk about Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy but the real signing that makes Andy Reid a genius was that of Kareem Hunt, he's their dual-threat back that replaces Jerrick McKinnon who was their dual-threat pass-catching RB.  Even if he doesn't put up gaudy numbers defenses have to account for him. Spread them out and give Mahomes a safety valve.  I am a huge proponent of the Dual threat RB  The Bills are loaded at RB and I think this will be the difference. Mahomes and Allen will do their thing but not as much as in the past.

I didn't even look at who everybody else was picking ... I'm pretty confident on the Philly/over ... it was pretty much a coin flip for me on KC/Buffalo. I'm rooting for the Bills, but I consider this insurance.

... Haha you are a better at this than I am. I have little confidence in any pick because it is all so close and perhaps a ball bouncing off a WR's hands or an unfortunate injury being the difference. I hated living in Philly for 1.5 years and the fans are the worst I have ever experienced so easy to choose the Commanders as well as trusting a rookie over Hurts. Like you I have no idea what to expect between the Bills/Chiefs other than it should be a close game. Plus I just can't bet against Mahomes. Also I really, REALLY hated hoping teams didn't score when I chose the Under so I'd rather lose picking the Over hoping for some last minute magic from Mahomes or Allen. I do love a great defensive game as long as it isn't because of a poor offense.
