It's a total bummer now that it is over. No NFL causes immediate depression for a few of us. 

 

Now what? Here's a suggestion. 

Over in the Lounge we will be running (for our second year) a PGA Tour Majors Picks Contest. We pick teams for the Players, PGA, Masters, US Open, and British. 

 

Currently looking for Rookies that want to give it a try.

As my dad would say, "KC got buss up."  I like Andy Reid, but I'm definitely okay with KC not winning.

 

In other news, I didn't win anything in any of the SB Squares Pools.  In one of them, I had KC "0" but PHI "5".   Thankfully, my KC "7" was paired with PHI "9" and not "4", so I wasn't upset when I found out KC didn't simply kick the XP after they scored their first TD.  However, I do know the person who had KC 7 / PHI 4 and I'm sure she wasn't happy at all.  LOL.

I went to bed before halftime. I am not interested in either team but I congratulate the Dirty Birds but not their horrible fans.  From what I did see on the highlights Micheal Carter should have been MVP. He's the anchor on the D line and they took it to Mahomes and gave him very little time to do anything.

1-1 25 points  I did finish in the positive on my prop bets   I played on more Eagles players than I did Chiefs I did hit on Xavier Worthy and the Eagles kicker over 1.5 FG's

Looking at the game it seems the Eagles have more speed at the skill positions and Hurts is a real dual threat because MaHomes only seems to run when flushed and the pocket breaks down and against teams with a decent secondary only Xavier Worthy is a real threat, Kelce, even Brown, Pachecho, Hunt, Hopkins, JuJu, all looked like they were running in quicksand. They needed Rashee Rice back

I had some of the best squares I have ever had...but a certain team didn't score at all and I didn't have KC 0.  It was a weird pool, first time trying it.  Instead of paying for each quarter, it pays out every score.  How much it pays out depends on total number of scores in game.  The guy with 0-0 did quite well!  I got lucky and had one payout on a 8-4 (probably broke even).

... It seemed the Eagles had two directions to go in. They started playing really well at the end of the season and going in to the play offs. That was either going to end and they would come back down to earth. Or they would continue to ascend and play better every week. Obviously they did the latter and those of us thinking it would be the former probably allowed our dislike for the fans and team to color our opinion. That said I am a huge Vic Fangio fan and he certainly did a number on Nagy, his old HC when they were both with the Bears. And of course Kellen Moore will ride his mastery of the Eagle offense into a HC'ing position.

Yep. Like Casual said, props to the organization. I’m starting to believe that the front office is now more important than the HC. The Eagles are built to beat anyone. My team has this guy at the helm..

... 🤡  It isn't called the Ultimate Team sport for nothing. They are all important and working together is paramount to success. A meddling owner can make it tough on the coaches. A GM giving away Barkley or trading for Rodgers past his prime can get a HC fired. Or a HC demanding everyone do it his way regardless of the team make up the owner and GM gave him is also a recipe for disaster. But when an organization gets to right from the top down, magic can happen.

That's very interesting - I've not heard of that type of squares pool before. 

 

I was hoping for at least 1 win to put towards a new Sun Mountain golf bag.  My 2019-ish 2.5 is finally starting to show its age, plus I'd like to move away from the 14-way.  Not to say it's at all related, but it's probably had 30 coats of Scotchgard sprayed on it over the years.  LOL.
