If Andy coaches until he is 71 or 72 (Belichick age), then he can break Shula's regular season win record.  He is only 66, but that many cheeseburgers can make you older than your age, although he does look healthier than when he got to KC.  🙂

Landry deserves a mention. His 2-3 Super Bowl record hurts, though, as did the losses to Lombardi in championship games. But from the mid- to late-60s into the early 80s, no team was more consistent, won more games and competed at a high level for such a long period as Landry’s Cowboys. I think the record of 20 consecutive winning seasons still stands.

For the first time, the Lions look like they are a team that is ready to win.  They did not have this last year in the playoffs.  Having a great O or D is fine, but figuring out how to win is the ultimate.  Most folks don't truly understand this and blame refs, the script or luck, but this skill is more important than any other.  Lions are truly the team to beat in the NFC.

I love having a Thursday night game, but def don’t love the fact it’s on Prime. I typically hit ‘last channel’ as soon as a commercial comes on. But ya gotta respect Prime’s hustle. Hit OK on ur remote to “discover” the product in the commercial… Ugh

Kinda feel like the NFL forces us bad games from Europe early on Sunday AM.  However, nothing on time change morning when everybody is up an extra hour early, disoriented and failing to adapt?  Needs to be a new condition of the NFLs anti-trust exemption that they provide us a good game on time change morning.

You are only disoriented on time change morning? Lucky! I’m still looking outside and 5:30pm and seeing it’s dark and being like what the… 😩 Still feels like 10:30pm at 6:30pm to me.

Mother Nature naturally takes care of the ‘getting darker earlier in the Winter’ thing. No need to help her out by “falling back”!!! Ugh

There should never be an americas team.  It is healthy for the fans to like teams as they ascend and hate them as they stay on top.  If a certain team was universally loved, then blaming the refs for executing the script would not soothe fans of teams with poor owners who are run poorly.  They would have to admit that their team is not good enough to overcome bad calls while the better teams can... since bad calls are pretty universal, or more talented teams force more calls by getting players of of position more often.

 

All of that said, I know 50x more people who love to see Dallas struggle than win.

I had the Packers beating the 9ers before Purdy n Bosa were listed as ‘out’. This is a rough watch.

Chiefs with the Milton Berle there, but Carolina had a chance.  Panthers just don't know how to win yet and cannot leave 1:42 for Mahomes to only get 3.  Never felt like KC was going to lose, but maybe Panthers can feel good.

 

Bears and Vikings was nuts.

 

Kinda feel like Dolphins make a run and get a playoff spot.  Jets twice, a 49ers team that might be shutting down, Browns and then 50/50 games against Pack and Texans.

Eagles have been impressive.  Barkley having so many yards is not of consequence to me, but they should be able to balance that against a good team too.  Dudes are battle tested in the playoffs.

Surprising how much the 9ers have dropped from last season. A replay of last seasons NFC Championship game would be a much different outcome this season. But no doubt we will never know as the 9ers definitely won’t b in it.
I’d love to see the Lions finally win it all.

The Vikings offense and especially Darnold have been money the last 2 weeks. He’d be right there in the mvp conversation if it weren’t for those bad games against the rams and lions. Flores and Aaron Jones worry me a little bit. I love how aggressive Flores is but the Lions picked up the blitz early against us and we got burned. Also Aaron Jones has completely forgotten how to handle the ball. I don’t see this team winning 3 straight road games in January and beating Philly/Lions

what do you think Minn does next year with Darnold?  JJ should be good to go by training camp

49ers look top heavy, old, lack depth and do not have a team-first culture.  They are a good team when everything works, but floor is way low when it does not.  They are not dynamic.

For example: Purdy is awesome in rhythm when guys are where they are supposed to be, but get him out of it and he misses a wide open WR when Chris Jones is in his face in the SB.  Mahomes and Josh Allen still likely complete that pass.

 

Everybody is injured.  The good teams you barely notice the injuries which add up but do not debilitate.

Darnold on a one year deal.  Dude is gonna get paid.  Good for him.  He earned it.  Seems like he gets a Baker or Geno type of deal around $30 million.
