I was at Faurot about ready to jump the wall when Frost threw that kicked pass to Davison.  I promise that I never once thought that the NCAA, Deep State, Big 8, Watergate, Grassy Knoll, Refs or anybody rigged the game, just that it was a bad call.  Lamented the misfortune, but did not whine about it - D back could have knocked it down better.  ..nothing that a few brews and the girlfriend could not get sorted.

Missed this earlier, but I was in the north end zone getting ready to storm the field as well.   My college roommate was #94 Steve Erickson for Mizzou, he played his a** off that game and I felt so terrible for him and the team.

Mizzou has been on the losing end of so many bad breaks....

I was right, the goalposts did move.  Last week was replay.  We got replay this week.  Now we need electronic balls that spot themselves.  When the good teams still win with electronic ball spotting, then what?  Expanded replay did not keep the Pats from still dominating like it was supposed to when they got "all of the calls."  Seriously, what?

KC is -125 on the money line, so bet $125,000 to win a smooth $100,000 if anybody thinks that this is rigged.  Sharps are expected to move line more to KC, so get this line while you can... might be -140 or -150 at kickoff.

Still sorting through my thoughts on this season as a whole and I think that my main takeaway is that peaking too early while emptying your whole clip and having a better point differential is stupid.  Using the regular season to get better was seen as a negative for KC and even the Eagles as they were not beating people by enough.  Remember when Eagles were 2-2 and Sirini was on watch to be fired?  Bills had one play for 4th down and KC brought out a new one that they scored 2 TDs with and another that got 7 yards on fourth down... probably had a dozen more in the bag.  Go back and watch Worthy the first 7 or 8 weeks - KC let him drop passes and forget to get his feet in bounds as he developed... lamented by many pundits as not being ready... but he is now when it matters.

I’m leaning towards not even watching.

We will see you in a couple of weeks.  I understand that the fatigue is real, but once the bitterness or blaming refs and luck wears off, true fans do appreciate greatness want to watch games and the rest is forgotten.  Anybody even remember anymore how "lucky" Brady was to get to play Jake Delhome in the SuperBowl, or how many roughing calls he got on the way there?  Paintin' Manning got to beat Rex Grossman for heaven's sake (and Cam Newton) - who remembered that before I reminded everybody?

The fatigued have to watch so that when the next dyansty comes along, they can talk about how this one was so much more likable.

Exactly.  This happens multiple times a game, in every game.

I'm all for updating how we track and measure the forward progress of the ball.  But there was no conspiracy here to favor the Chiefs.  It's asinine.  And hey Bills, if the QB sneak/tush-push hasn't been very successful the entire game, I wouldn't ask the referees to try and guess where the ball was stopped in a mass of 22 large human beings.

Mahomes spotted about 2 feet short on his fourth down run.  He just went ahead and got 7 to make sure that there was no doubt.  Rigged.

Now let me ask ya this…

If it was the 49ers or another team you like that was on the favorable end of the ref calls

would you still boycott?

I wouldn’t say I’m boycotting. Just can’t stand the Chiefs and I’m tired of looking at em! Why I wanna watch a team I’ve hated for 40 years win another SB?! Haha
And I’d 💯 watch if it were my team. It’s not like they are cheating. (See 2017 Astros) They are just getting a lil unsolicited nudge over the line 😊 Not their fault. Def still support my fav team in this spot.

I assume you're betting big money on the Chiefs?  Since the outcome is already determined you should bet everything you have and make easy money!

Good one Mike! I can’t stand betting on sports. I find the fact that it has become an integral part of the modern sports landscape super cringe. Thankfully I don’t need the funds and can stay far away from it.

*btw. Looks like you are loving life out there. Good for you! Enjoy the game 😊

One of my other takeaways from the season is that if you are owned by an adult, hire adults to be GM & head coach, then you can make the playoffs in short order and you don't even have to beat any good teams.  Congrats to Chargers and Broncos that should be the model for any bad team... only most of those bad teams do not have adults as owners so nothing will change with most of them.

Oakland (sorry, they are still Oakland to me) will be an interesting study - I could go with Arrowhead West since I think that Andy Reid is the winningest coach to play in Allegiant.  Pete is certainly a capable coach and adult.  Not all ex-players make good GMs but Tom Brady seems like an actual adult.  Do not think that the rest of the ownership group are adults, but maybe I am wrong.  Spanos family have been clowns in the past, but they disappeared this year with Jim Harbaugh in town and it showed - maybe Raiders owners will do the same.

Shad Kahn is said to have grown into an adult, is loyal and his meddling has cut back.  He wants his org to change.  This is one to watch next year too, but we have no idea if Liam Coen is any good.

None of this even mentions Washington who have had one of the largest turn-arounds that I have ever seen.

I have no hope for Jets, Giants, Bears, Panthers, Cowboys, Browns or Texans (long term) since their owners seems nuts.  Raiders are only just above this list because Tom needs time to see if he can make a difference.  Bengals are on watch since they are LOADED with offensive talent but they have no money and cannot scout, coach and train like other teams... or put up cash to sign a lot of players with large bonuses.

In short, owners matter a lot more than I previously thought and I already thought that they mattered.

Who has superbowl predictions?  TiScape will want anybody but KC - we know this.

People must really hate Eagles fans since Fatigue seems to be better than Eagles to a lot of people.

Early breakdown:

Coaches - KC

QB - KC

RB - Eagles

O Line - Slight Lean eagles - tackles are better, but KC interior is better which might help against the awesome Eagles DTs.  These lines would suit each team better if they switched - interior would help saquan out a lot and some real tackles and Mahomes could throw bombs again.

WR - Slight lean KC with Kelce - Eagles WRs are good names, but not producing much this year.  KC has speed and vets but they are not explosive.

DL - Lean Eagles - their big 3 are monsters, but KC has more depth in the rotation.  Would rather have the monsters by a touch.  Versatility favors KC which allows them to disguise and fool dudes.

LB - KC in general, but Baun is a dude.

Secondary - Push - McDuffie and is a stud, but Eagles might have more talent.  Spags uses KC D Backs better than anybody.

Kickers - KC

Public Narratives that Will Not Hold Up:

KC will stop Eagles Tush Push like Buffalo - uh, no... eagles are not dumb enough to do the same flavor every time.

Saquan will run all over KC - Spags is too smart to let this happen.  He will get yards, but not like with other games.  This is a hard one for people to believe, but look at McCaffrey, Henry and other good RBs numbers against Spags, especially in the playoffs.

Eagles D Line will pressure Mahomes - true if KC takes time, but with the league-low 2.X seconds to pass, Andy will get the ball out fast, run screens and RPO to death until he slows down the line or gets them into man and dropping 7.  If KC gets into long situations, then the Eagles D line will get to Mahomes if he sits back there for 4-5 seconds.

Hurt's Knee is a Problem - does not seem to be.  I bet he is injured and maybe pretty badly, but it does not seem to be affecting him.  Remember Mahomes ankle 2 years ago?  These guys know how to prepare and treat and have guys ready.

Keys for me:

Can KC use the quick pass, screen and RPO game 6-10 yards a time without mistakes?  They are capable, but more touches means more drops and turnovers.  If they don't turn the ball over, they should be able to move it well.  Hands-of-cement guys Kadarius, Skyy Moore are not out there, but still more of a risk.

Can Eagles use play action if Saquan is limited by Spags?  Can receivers beat man and the tricky schemes that KC throws at guys - they have not yet this year since Philly became a running team in about week 5 or 6 when they started to win.  If Philly is one dimensional, then they lose.

“Saquan will run all over KC”

The talking heads I see are calling for KC to shut Saquon down

So, I guess if one thinks you should fade the  media,  Saquon gonna have a huge day!

Should be a great game. Let’s see who steps up, I’d like to see Hurts have a big day, he doesn’t get much respect.

If enough smart people are talking about Saquan getting shut down, then I might listen.  A few talking heads and I don't care - when everybody (media and fans) is on one side, then fade.  KC can rotate the defensive line to find somebody who can set an edge.  The LBs are fast and the secondary will tackle and hit which most teams will not do.  Saquan likes to bounce and is excellent in space.  I have no doubt that KC can get him for a loss a few times when he tries to bounce, but also that he is going to bounce well, make a guy miss and then get a good chunk.  Saquan is too good and so is the O line to get shut down.  There is a world where Spags puts a clown suit on Kellen Moore, but even then, Saquan will be OK.  KC has the talent to shut out Saquan, but it would cost them too much in other spots, IMO.

Eagles 4-2 against playoff teams in regular season.  Chiefs 7-1 against playoff teams when they were trying.  Not much to glean here - both excellent records.

I like Hurts.  I wonder if his shoulder is still compromised.  He has not looked great this year.  I know that the stats are not great, but beyond this in the eye test.  His best passes look more like Peyton Manning than lasers like he threw when he was a MVP candidate a few years ago before he got injured.  They have not needed him to sling it, but if they do, this could be something to watch.

I am now completely convinced that the NFL is rigged.  Obviously the NFL Script writers have forced the NBA to force the Dallas Mavericks to trade Luka just to upset Patrick Mahomes on the week of the SuperBowl.  His childhood team and a top-3 players now gone.  Otherwise, this makes no sense.  Rigged for The Eagles.

It's rigged, don't you see that?  The NFL clearly wants a small market team in the midwest to rule the NFL.  Makes total sense to me, and all the refs conspire together to make it happen while the league nods approvingly.  And I'm sure all of these people who say it's rigged have made massive amounts of money betting on the Chiefs since they already know the outcome, right?

The entire discourse is so entertaining you just have to laugh at it.

I'm just going to enjoy attending my fifth Super Bowl in six years.  This is me on the field last night during the awards presentation celebrating another Chiefs AFC trophy.  From a poor kid growing up in north KC in the 70's and only knowing Chiefs heartbreak decade after decade after decade, you're damn right I'm enjoying this.

Was hoping to come here this AM and see this pic replicated on the field at the Super dome! 😂

My final thoughts on the NFL season is that games appear to be getting more like basketball or boxing where matchups matter more than ever before.  One team dominates one week, but not the next - matchups.  KC O line was fine against good D line of Houston and Buffalo, but got annihilated by Philly who barely beat Rams.  If this is true, it is going to make things more fun in years to come and going to have to watch the games instead of look at point differential, final scores and the box.  Transitive property not reliable, if it ever was.

Also, saw a drop off in being stupid and winning teams took points.  Only chased when they needed points.  Brandon Staley, Ravens going for 2 in the first quarter and all of that seems over for the moment... only bad teams did this.

Candidates to slide next year - one step back to take two forward: Washington, Minnesota and Chargers.  Teams to just slide next year: Broncos.  Jacksonville on the up.  Indy makes the playoffs.  Dallas back in the playoffs.  Falcons in the playoffs.  Bengals start faster make the playoffs.

Jets are going to Jets and Giants gonna Giant.  Raiders are gonna Raider, which sucks since the league is better when the Raiders are competent.

Long Shot Predictions:  Ravens at Arrowhead Invitational next year.  Healthy and battle scarred Lions host Rams in NFC.

Not gonna happen. Giants will finish ahead of Dallas in the NFC East.

You are probably right, but isn't the most Dallas thing ever is to go like 10-7 or 9-8 with healthy Dak, lose on the road in the wildcard round and have Jerry declare victory and then extend himself as GM?  ...and wait too long to extend Micah and have to pay him 20-25% more than he would have had to.

Hey Bro, how goes it👊

This deal sucks, it teaks if desperation and it's gonna be a 💩💩 show second to none.

I was really hopin that he turned em down though why turn down $20M when you can run the show🤷🏻‍♂️

Yah, he's a HoFer and probably one of the Top-10/12 in his heyday...

Today?

He's garbage🗑️

Coming back from an achilles injury, ANY achilles injury, is a young man's journey, IF he's gonna come back. It's not for a 38-40yo who was never a work out fiend even in his hey day.

A good Bud and former college Teammate who Played  for the Jets for five years and now does their radio show, said that Rogers was a "locker room cancer." Kirk is not prone to hyperbole and I asked him to please explain.

Let me just say that I've never heard of a QB bein a locker room cancer though if that is the case, that Team is DOOMED!!

He said where Rodgers lost him and a lot of the Jets in the locker room was all the way back in training camp when a few rookie and younger WR's didn't run patterns like Rodgers felt that they should be run. Instead of taking them aside and in a respectful Mentor/Leader like tone, tell them how he wanted them run, Rodges berated them with cutting remarks on the field, in front of teammates & the coaching staff, who said nothing. The young guys were in awe of him and walkin/runnin on eggshells, afraid to make a mistake. Instead of using these instances as a teaching moment, Rogers acted like an entitled uber narcissistic b***h.

Compare that to TB in his first camp with Tampa Bay, who stayed AFTER practice to throw to the WR's who were down the chart and unless 3-4 guys went down in front of em, they were unlikely to ever catch a Tom Brady pass in a game. Brady was extremely cognizant of his reputation and legacy, and knew that these kids, even if it was after practice on a practice field, they could one day tell their kids and grandkids that they'd Played pitch 'n catch with Tom Brady. Brady Mentored  them and coached them up, he didn't ignore, ridicule them and tear them down. That's what a Leader does!!

The Jets finished 5-12, and while it is unfair to hang all of that on Rodgers, Kirk said that he contributed very little in the way of leadership and seemed to be goin through the motions. When your QB is not one of your Team Leaders and is goin through the motions, regardless of the level of Play, that team is screwed!!

Bottom line, while the Stillers indeed need a quality starting QB, they do not need Aaron Rodgers!!

It's gonna be a long 17 weeks though we're not gonna lack for drama.

Have a Great Weekend Bro👊

RP

I totally agree with Forged4ever. This doesn't end well with Rogers. He's 41, coming off a serious injury, and he's a taco shy of a combo plate.

I listen to Tim Benz and Mark Madden in the mornings.  Not sure I like them, in fact I know I don’t like MM, he feels like a sports shock jock.  On the other hand, they do not like the move and I agree 100%.

I would much prefer they run a second tier QB for the year and get a better draft pick.

Dont want to only blame Tomlin bc I don’t know the ins and outs from 2000 miles away, but the Steelers have experienced a huge culture decline.  Why they bring in these divas, or permit them to become divas is beyond me.  So many of them over the past 15 years.

I will always be a Steelers fan, but this year is going to be tough.

Went to the movies last night. As we were going in I saw a gentleman wearing a Steelers hat & jacket. Being the friendly, outgoing guy that I am I just had to engage. Asked how he felt about A Rog @ QB. Without missin a beat he said “It’s okay, he will be injured by week 3 and the rookie (Will Howard) will be starting”. Haha

*btw. He clearly wasn’t as friendly as me and I felt lucky to get that!
