This is the greatest humiliation in the history of football! 🤣

Pathetic. Davante demands a trade out of Vegas to go to an equally bad team to “save” the Jets and b w/his buddy ARog. That play sums up how I feel about all of it. 😊

Watched a lot of future sandwich artists yesterday.

Detroit D is not good so don't know what to think about Vikings.  Looks like Detroit might have show too much in that game to put fast pressure on Goff.  Minnesota will be ready for that if they meet again, so Detroit better have more exotic stuff.  If Vikings win a rematch, then we will know that Lions overplayed their hand in this game - Belichick would gladly have lost this game to win the next one.

My thought watching Darnold last night. Oh there he is! That’s the Sam the Jets drafted and was the backup for SF last season.

On a more superficial note. The Lions Honolulu blue and silver unis are iconic and not to mention sick. Stop overusing the alternate black jerseys and blue helmets.

Stupidest fanbases today:

Bills are so scared of NE that they let them win to not get the #1 pick.  Uh, sure...

Chiefs played nearly 100% backups because they are scared of Bengals - forgetting that bengals would need to beat Buffalo to even play KC in which case, getting Buffalo out of the playoffs is much better.  Bengals only beat teams with top-12 picks except for Denver (see below).

Bo-lieve, Bo-ner, Bo-anything for a QB who still has not beaten a team with a winning record.  Were Pats fans not this excited about Mac Jones after one year going 10-7 and a 6 seed?

Steelers fans already have lost on Saturday - they are not even going to enjoy the week.  They are just truly defeated already.

Houston fans also seem resigned to a loss, but nothing like Pittsburgh fans.

Teams all over the league firing coordinators and position coaches to fix all of their problems.  To date, no owners are firing themselves like they should if they want to win.

I have 0 expectations for the Vikings in the playoffs. Most fraudulent 14 win team in nfl history. We’re a good team but the lions just showed everyone how to beat us on both sides of the ball. If teams pressure Darnold and pick up the blitz you beat us. Granted this loss was mostly due to red zone issues

I am about 60-70% sure that Detroit showed too much.  KOC and crew will have 2 weeks to game plan for that and have a solution.  That Detroit D is not that good, but even a bad D can stop a team for a game if they sell out and use all of their exotic stuff - cannot really do this in the regular season or you peak too early or start fast and fade like bad teams do.  I am intrigued by this and hope that they play again just to watch the coaching gamesmanship.

The Rams are a good team and it would be stupid to even think about Detroit right now. McCvay and Stafford have more playoff success than anyone else in the NFC and the Rams are way better than their record shows IMO.  They beat the Vikings, Bills, and took the Lions to OT. This is gonna be a tough game and I feel like teams know how to beat us. Darnold is toast if he doesn’t have time to throw the ball and our D is in trouble if opposing teams pick up the blitz.

Well pretty much what I was thinking. Purdy hinting at a hold out if he doesn’t get a new deal this off season. Obviously the 9ers would much prefer to pay him the $1.1 million he is slated to make. What to do, what to do…

he had some bad overthrows in the that game ... really bad ...

kind of liked the black/blue look, but the blue/silver are indeed iconic ...

they are in a conundrum ... i think it's fairly obvious he is not a $40 mill a year qb, but he's what they have at the moment ...

It was awful. Sam’s had a really good year and I love KOC but for some reason it seems like he doesn’t design many pass plays for Hock or Addison when Jefferson is on the field and they are usually option 2/3. When teams start doubling Jefferson, Sam takes forever to make a decision and as a result takes a ton of sacks (4th in the league in sacks taken). Also Hock has been awful this year. He had one good game against the bears and that’s it.

I doubt that KOC does not have plays designed for them.  KOC seems like a very good coach to me - like Elite.  It is likely that Darnold just does not look their way.  I used to think that Andy Reid was dumb because he did not design plays for X or Y when Alex Smith was around, but it was just that Alex was limited in his ability to read and process - once Mahomes got there, everybody got the ball and Reid was a genius and all of a sudden learned who the other guys on the team were.  Combined with coaching myself and having parents think that we were morons because the kid can not do what we designed, I think that most NFL coaches know what needs to be done so I rarely blame them (there have been a few coaches that I worry about).

That said, if you see Hock targeted more this weekend, they could have been saving some of that back or he also could have been slightly hurt and not told anybody ala Kelce last year.  It is go-time now and if he is still open and not targeted, then it is on Darnold.

On a side note in stupidly, do people think that Lou Anaroumo all of a sudden cannot coach D? - Cincy is Cincy'ing.

Predicting a comfortable win for Minny in LA.  The things that Lions got them with will be solved and unless Rams can just beat them man-on-man, they will have to come up with something else to win... and FGs are not going to win this game for LA.

Denver still does not beat a team with a winning record and Buffalo rolls.

Ravens are laughing and having fun on the sidelines in the second half against Pittsburgh.

Texans pull out a close one over Chargers who are game, but fall just short.  I think that DeMeco is a good coach.

Bucs beat the Commies and Baker has like 450 yards and 4 tuddys.  As a Mizzou grad, Daniels terrorized me last year winning a game almost by himself, but as the league adjusts to him, he looks more like Stroud next year.

Vegas seems to think that Hurts will play, so I will take the Eagles in a close one.  Kenny Pickett or a still-concussed Hurts takes the L.

Tough introduction to the playoffs for Bo Nix, but I'm really proud of what he did this season.

Tough intro no doubt. But more impressive he got there in his 1st year!

Very. After the raw deal he often had to deal with here at Auburn, it's great to see this trajectory he seems to be on.

AFC playoffs according to plan, for me.  I don't know why Chargers were favored - only beat the Broncos with a winning record (twice.)  I did not see anything in them to make me believe that they could be a winning team on the road.  I do feel bad for Herbert who has interception numbers piling up in the playoffs.

Not sure what to make of Denver and Nix.  Still no wins against winning teams unless you want to count the 17 backups for KC in week 18.  They could have still went 5-12, so just beating bad teams is more than what many others could do, so they deserve credit.  My guess is that when the league game plans for him, he looks bad when he cannot operate in rhythm like a poor man's Purdy that can run a bit.

For any Steelers fans, why does everybody want Tomlin fired?  This is a 6-11 (or worse) roster and he got them to the Playoffs.  If not Tomlin, then who?  You wanna take your chances and get a Josh McDaniel or other culture destroyer?  Get Tomlin a QB and watch him work, I think.  Not many could do better with the dregs that he has had under center for a decade.

As a KC fan living in Denver, this is what it was like last week:
