Once I saw The Darnold Face after the first pick, I just felt bad for all Minny fans, KOC and the like.  Dude was not good enough to execute what was put in front of him.  This is disappointing, but at least you won a lot of games, had some fun and know EXACTLY what you have going forward - a good season.  I overestimated Darnold a few weeks ago, but at least the Viking now know what they have to do which is move on with JJ and not believe into the Darnold resurgence stuff.  It was clear that Darnold could not do anything that KOC and the coaches wanted from him, including just throwing the ball away a few times.  This is still better than what most teams out there are going through where they might have a QB, but they don't know for sure.

KC over Texans easy at the end

Ravens over Bills pretty easy at the end

Detroit in a tight one over Commies who are game but just a few too many mistakes

Eagles pop the Rams good like a bubble burst

“Know exactly what you have going forward”. Exactly! That’s the silver lining for Minny. 2nd week in a row I’ve said to myself. Sam IS the guy we saw in NY (NJ). But had a magical little run there. Just for himself, turned into a pumpkin 🎃 a lil too soon. Cost him many millions.

Reminds me a bit of Purdy in SF (SC). But there it is not quite as apparent. Still say he’s not ‘the guy’. But who else you got that’s better? So I think he will get paid.

I will give Darnold a little more credit than that.  He looked better in his first chance with a good coach in a good culture.  He was better.  He still has limitations.  I think that with a good coach/culture he could get to the playoffs again and not even have to beat too many good teams.

He made improvements this year, so he could make more in years to come.  Maybe get to where he is Alex Smith with Andy Reid.  Maybe do with Purdy has done in rhythm for Shannhan or Tannehill with Vrabel (who was a 1 seed not long ago and ended Brady's career in NE another)?

Darnold had no chance with the Jets, but some of that is not him.  I don't with the Jets on my worst enemy.

In any case, I would not build around him if you believe in JJ.  If that front office does not like what they have seen out of JJ, then they can do worse than another year or two with Darnold... but all indications is that they like JJ.

Dude can play until he is 38 making $3-5 million a year being a backup and acting like an adult.  Not too bad.  Chase Daniel, Wentz, Chad Henne and the like.  A good team can win a few games with him if their starter goes out.

Yeah, I’m just being overly dramatic. It’s my “Monday morning QB” persona 😉

I apologize if I have posted this before, but I had a kid who plays softball at UCSD.  Nearly all of her teammates are 49ers fans who just will not stop with Kittle > Kelce.  They just go on and on about it like they truly believe it.  The kid is pretty good about just taking it since with trophies stuff, there is no point in arguing, but she has gone to practice with a paper taped to her that said "33/455/2 vs 165/1903/19 and 3."  Their coaches let them wear jerseys if their team wins the head to head and she has never had to see a 85 Jersey at practice.  While she has been good for the most part, lately, she keeps asking the 49ers fans when their playoff game and if she can come to their watch party... she texts me and asks if she is being too much of a "monday morning b***h."  Football fans can get pretty salty on Monday Mornings.

If anybody wonders if moving to LA cost the Chargers fans, my kid who lives in La Jolla knows of no Chargers fans and the team is dead to anybody that she asks.

That’s absolutely terrific! Love hearing that these young ladies are/were so passionate about FB!
And I can relate with ur post as my son went to college in SoCal and now lives in LA. Asked him not long ago and he also told me he knows no Chargers fans and sees zero gear on ppl there.
I will say Kittle is my favorite 9er (and I’m not a 9ers fan). Dude is just an animal and has a motor that just doesn’t stop. Seems they can always count on him when they need a crucial catch.I know based on FB accolades Kittle is < Travis. But man, I just can’t stand Travis! 😂

I used to feel that way about Gronk,Vrabel, Edelman, Peyton and then I just realized that I cannot hate on them because they have big personalities and were more successful than my team.  Gronk's act like he is stupid used to wear on me when he clearly is not stupid - now I find his commercials kinda funny.  Kittle is a world class dude and so is Kelce - love how they support each other and all other tight ends.  It is different being on the other side of stupid fans and realizing that you were once one of the stupid.

Chargers should have went to Vegas and Raiders back to LA.

Told my daughter that if I ever become a gazillionaire, I am going to buy the Chargers and move them back to The Whales v***** - my family will be royalty in that town forever.

You’re being way too reasonable! 😂 This is sports “hate”. Totally acceptable. Travis a D-bag and a Chief!
Sure IRL he is an absolutely fantastic human being 😇

Gettin pretty stoked for this weekends games!
Esp Commanders/Lions and Ravens/Bills.
The other two have a bit of a David vs. Goliath feel. Those prob end up being the better games!! 🤪 😂

*surprised the Lions are favored so much against the Commanders. Lions D hasn’t looked too hot and Jayden is a game wrecker.

two horrible calls ... just horrible ...

Three bad calls...

The fourth and 10 call was horrible.

The call to try and get in a play before the 2 minute warning was just a bad.

However, the call not to guard Kelce with anybody was the worst call of the game.

If people are thinking refs.  First one was a 50/50 and the league protects the QB - Anderson needs to go in there with his hands and not his body and not even give a chance to make that call.  The second one was not even 50/50 even though it looked bad in real time, but is of no consequence - it is going to be 2nd and 5 if it is not called and does anybody think that Kelce is not going to get a first down on two tries when Houston didn't seem to know where he was?

People need to remember that Houston had guys fined and suspended this year for late and dirty hits and stuff.  The players never backed down in the pressers or anything and said that they were going to play the same way.  You have to avoid this at all costs since everybody who is in the game knows what is happening and this includes the refs and opposing team.  Just like Jawaan Taylor has eyes on him for lining up in the backfield, Houston is going to get called for 50/50 hits.  They earned this.  I hope that nobody truly blames the refs instead of The Texans.

Also, if people think that the refs wanted KC to win, then they would have thrown a few flags at the sidelines for late hits.  They did not, and it was the right thing to do... those were not late hits.  Once you factor in that Houston was known as a dirty and late hitting team, it all makes sense if you follow the league - just ask Bill Laimbeier about how your reputation matters.  Was there a single DPI or defensive hold all game?  DPI or Illegal Contact is the perfect way to benefit one team over another (anybody remember OSU vs Miami and the phantom PI call after the game was over?), not calling roughing on players who were warned and are being watched closely.

I kinda hate how both offensive and defensive holds kinda disappear in the postseason.  Pick a way and call it the same - I don't care which one.

I know that it is fun and easy for people to just blame refs, coordinators and kickers looking like Charlie Brown and Lucy, but that is way too simple.  This game was a failure to cover a guy who does not run conventional routes, the interior line of the Texans getting worked and the lack of depth at WR for Houston and not being able to consistently get off of press at the line.  I would listen to a dome/warm-weather team not knowing what to do in the cold and wind (Fairbairn).

Did Lions peak too early, just lose too many defensive players, or run into a buzzsaw?  I know that they would have won if the refs called the hit on Goff during the pick six, and all, so the refs cost them.  All of the trick plays either shows a hubris or desperation - I don't know which.  I am kinda happy for Commie fans who suffered Dan Snyder for too long.

Should be good day today, which is fine with me since winter finally hit Colorado and it is -4 degrees.

Yeah that’s because Campbell left the starters in during garbage time.

Feels like Campbell is a year or two away from Lions fans thinking that Campbell is a bum if he cannot get to a SuperBowl.  The 4th down calls in the playoffs last year, the foot on the throttle all season (peaking too early), trick plays today, etc.  Don't they also do old-school hitting and stuff in practice - if so, guys getting hurt just to be tough guys will be an issue then too, even though it is endearing and fun now.  If they lose both coordinators, was this the Lions peak?

I have the same peaking too soon worry about Bills, except Allen is way more dynamic than Goff.

Picking high all of those years really can help you if you can find a QB out of nowhere.  Commies have talent.
