hate to b that guy, but legit feels like it’s just a matter of time b4 they just put flags on the QBs.

not sure you're far away ... they're asking the official ref guy on air about it, and he says "yeah, it was a late slide ... the defensive guy had already committed" ... then followed it with "but they're looking at the hit to the neck/head area, that's the thing" ... well, no s*** ... but it was more neck than contact with his head, and if are able to quickly state the def player is committed, how's it logical to charge him with the foul? ... i know that's what they do, but i'd assume it's unspoken that it doesn't make sense ... just a horrible call, and i'm pulling for the steelers ...

Late slides are 💯 an issue that needs to be addressed. It puts the D at a major disadvantage… I’m just not sure the league cares. Offense sells 💰

It will fix it's self like the out of bounds QB running stuff has.  Lots of talk that Allen and Mahomes milk it by acting like they are going out of bounds and then turning up, but the defenders stop playing on every play.  NFL sent out memos that they are runners and to pursue them.  Next time Mahomes got close, he got hammered right on the sideline and it was a good no-call even though the crown booed and the casual fans hated it (they always do).

 

NFL will instruct the refs and teams what to do next and all of that.

 

I am perfectly OK with protecting QBs.  Nobody wants a league where DTR, Wentz and Flacco are going to the SuperBowl because they are the only ones left.  Need to allow a quick review for a double check - college does this with targeting, except college is is not quick.  Throw the flag and if the ref with the TV says no flag, then pick it up in 20 seconds.  Just need to uphold a few blasts on late slides and everybody will stop.

Yeah I’ve seen a few instances of a QB acting like he’s gonna slide or go out, the defender lets up and then the QB doesn’t slide/go out.

League memo told teams that if these guys are in bounds and they let up, then it is on them.  Honestly, it was.  If you look at the two that Mahomes did, one guy got blocked by the WR and Mahomes cut up and the other, the defender slowed down on his own.  Neither were dirty or unfair once you looked at them again.

 

Bills look like they are peaking too soon.  This looks like all of their best stuff.  Jets and Pats the next three weeks won't have a say on anything, but a good D coordinator will have a lot of material to study and prepare.

 

Lions lose another lineman.  MASH unit.

Myself and everyone I watched with thought the Seahawk’s “action green” unis were just awful!

Well, as an in recovery Oakland/LA/Oakland/Vegas RAIDERS fan I have to admit that I’m looking forward to the game tonight. I am thankfully at the point that it’s more of a general interest and I don’t get emotionally invested like I use to. Which is good, because they are atrocious!! 
… But they have a nice stadium 😊

Bills probably lose one of those games since nobody can see it happening.  Not really, but when you have a consensus, the opposite usually is true.  Like no way they lose to the rams and beat the Lions on the road.

 

I think that Andy Reid is the all time winningest coach at Aligiant Stadium.  Crazy.  Definitely the winningest coach in the playoffs.

Heard on the radio that the NY Rangers have won a game in MetLife stadium since The Giants have.  Also, Buffalo Bills.  Jets got one this year, so they are WAY ahead of the Giants.

 

Broncos v Chargers game will double their combined wins against teams with winning records.  Only other win is when they played each other and the Chargers won.  Guess the old saying is true - just beat the bad teams and you can have a good record.  Commies have also not beaten a team with a winning record.  When you say this out loud, it makes the really bad franchises seem even worse since they cannot even beat other losing teams.
