Broncos look like they have some good plays and as soon as the other team adjusts, they are done.  First half Nix and second half Nix were two different guys.  Cannot tell if Nix is going to be a "system" guy who can be shut down by a good D mind, or if he is just a rookie with a high ceiling who is learning.  In any case, he is better than what has been in Denver since even before Paintin' Manning left, even if they don't have a victory over a team with a winning record.

 

Chargers just look like a team who had to let a lot of their talent go to get the salary cap right.  As a KC guy, more scare of them as they build and get rid of even more expensive contracts like Mack and Bosa.

The chargers and broncos are gonna get dog walked in the first round by whoever they play. I also think the chiefs are getting bounced in the divisional round. My super prediction is bills vs Vikings with darnold throwing a game winner to Jefferson as the clock expires and the entire stadium carrying him on their backs

Predicting Ravens at KC in AFC Championship - Ravens win AFC North.  Vikings and Philly, but I don't know who has the higher seed.

 

KC going to get lowest seed after wildcard weekend.  If you want them to lose, need to root for Steelers to win the AFC north and then Ravens to be the 5 seed, beat Texans and go to Arrowhead.  Broncos, Chargers, Steelers or Texans not likely losing in Arrowhead in divisional round.  All of this said, the Jets with Mark Sanchez did beat The Patriots one year in the Divisional round... so it can happen.  Seems like a lot of those Pats teams got a one-week upset wonder 6 seed like Jacksonville or Phil Rivers Chargers who then got waxed the next week.

Either the Ravens or the Bills are coming out of the afc. The Chiefs have won 11 1-score games this season and that’s just not sustainable. They’re barely squeaking out wins against teams like the raiders and I feel like they’ll get smoked in the divisional round.

Saw Brock Purdy gifted all his OL new Toyota Tundras. They are ~$65k each. His salary this season is just under $1 million. Lives in a very expensive area where anything below $96k a year is considered low income. 
The way he’s been playing I hope he wasn’t counting on his new contract to cover costs! Those linemen might wanna watch out for the repo man! 😂

Purdy has a sponsorship deal with Toyota already.  Given the press that this has gotten, it is well worth it for Toyota if they did not charge Purdy a cent, and they probably did not.

 

Something like 60 college QBs have NIL deals more than Purdy.

I don't think that KC linemen or Detroit defense want State Farm Insurance from Mahomes or Hutchinson, but Toyotas are pretty cool.

 

Bill D might be too bad to beat 4 playoff teams.  Pats out gained the Bills and if they did not throw backward passes and other stupid things, they might have won the game.  A month until playoff football matters, but Allen's had looked weird last night - he had that one really bad duck that missed by 30 yards and another not-so-good pass.  If KC wins on Wed, then I would let Trubisky play the last two in Buffalo.  This offense looks really good, but wondering if they peaked too early.  Buffalo 2-2 vs playoff teams this year... not exactly battle tested.  Other teams going to play 7 to 10 playoff teams.

 

Feel that 49ers and Cincy window with the currently-constructed teams are done.  Burrow cap number up quite a bit next year and Hendrickson not going to play on last year of current deal likely wanting a record number especially with that D already so bad.  Higgins not under contract and Jamaar will want to beat Jefferson, which is crazy to me since Jefferson is ahead of everybody IMO.  49ers just old and top heavy - gonna need a Chargers reset.

I heard Purdy is also borrowing some of those Tundras to use as an Uber driver in his off time to make ends. Poor guy. 
 

(Just think about the ROI difference between him and ARog. 😮)

Wouldn’t be surprised! Crazy how many times I’ve used Uber round here and it’s a $100k + car. Times r tuff!

I don't know what made me think of this, but when I was a kid in Kansas City, we always had family from Upstate NY come visit for Christmas.  They would fill the car with cases of Yuengling for my Dad - sometimes some Saranac.  He seemed to enjoy football a bit more those next few weeks...
