Vessel Player V

Finally saw the 5. My gosh that thing is huge. Its basically a staff bag with legs. I sold my 4 Pro because it was too big. The 4 was bigger than I liked even on my clic. 3 was the best bag they have come out with to date. Bigger than a smaller carry bag but small enough that its not overwhelming for a walking round. I am now looking for another 3 or I will go VLX when they run the Black Friday sale.

The Black Friday Sale started yesterday - and I ordered a Player V.  Wife will be impressed that I finally bought a bag that's not gray.  

 

Sold my gray Player IV to one of my playing partners this morning.

V Pro DXR is out of stock. I reached out to Vessel, and they couldn’t give me a timeline of when it might be back. That’s the bag I want but have been unable to buy. I’m hoping they get stock back before the Black Friday deal ends. I inquired about a pre purchase, but they stated that they don’t allow them.

I signed up for email notification on re-supply. Don't need another bag, but I like the bigger sizing and the material of the DXR Pro.

I wonder how long the Black Friday sale will extend to? My luck it will expire 12/1 since the bag I want is the Player V Pro DXR 14 way, lol.

Those of you who have a 14 way V Pro, how do you like the club layout? Do the clubs benefit from the staggered layout? Is it really much different than a traditional 14 way layout?

So, I love my Player V Pro. One thing I did not think about when getting it was the way it would fit on a cart, specifically a Motocaddy M7 GPS.

I bought that cart yesterday and it is a difficult fit for the bag. Anyone else have a similar issue that they experienced with their Player bag? How did you rectify it?

I really want to keep the Player V.

Anyone have any real life pictures of the DXR bag? The reviews have limited pics and it seems like a material that is hard to get a good look at? I'm between this bag and just saving money and getting the Titleist Hybrid 14.

This is what I am afraid of. I have a Callaway bag that they made specifically for my electric push cart. They basically moved the stand down so the bag sits flush. It fits the cart perfectly but I hate the bag. Pockets suck and the bag is faded after 1 New England summer.

So, the issue is with the legs. They keep the bag from "snugging" up against the cart. I took a piece of foam that I had from a package and put it under the bottom of the bag to raise it up a bit and it worked much better. 

 

I am looking at that cozy and may try it. What I ddi tonight was good enough to allow me to keep and use my Vessel. But the cozy just might be the best answer.

The cozy is great. My brother bought it as well as a buddy. I will have to buy it as well I think if I get the Vessel bag.

I have a players IV that was used and abused for 2 seasons (approx 140 rounds + range trips).  I'm not abusive to my gear, but I'm far from "babying" things.  Tools, not jewels.  With that, the thing still looks brand new.  You can find duds from any brands out there, no matter what you buy you risk it.  I generally take most reviews with a grain of salt unless they start showing up in alarming numbers.  You don't know how truthful the reviewer has been with how they used the bag, you don't know if they bought it from an authorized retailer or a retailer who somehow got factory rejects etc.  The biggest thing to consider is the amount that they sell and then consider that among the scope of the bad reviews.  I bet you find 20 or less really really bad reviews of the bag vs the thousands (if not tens of thousands) of bags that they have sold.

I know it's not in same realm, but anybody with a Bagboy cart, specifically the nitron, the Players V pro is compatible with their top lock feature.

100% agree, I think it was more that I couldn’t find many positive reviews on here discussing their bags, but it’s good to hear your feedback. I’ll probably give it a shot, I’m the exact same way with my equipment, I’m not worried about normal wear and tear. I saw the thread where somebody bought one on ebay and pretty much dismissed that one, but did see several stating the bags were fading and the material wasn’t great.

I have a IV  and feels it's well made. Very solid legs, comfortable strap, have  never cleaned it, but it still looks good. Zippers are great, only complaints. Water bottle pockets are not that good. Bag could be an inch or two taller, but I will buy another of theirs.

I have it in navy and have had it since launch, I love the bag. I walked 9 with it on Sunday with no problems at all carrying it. Absolutely no club sticking with it for me and it looks exactly the same as it did a month or two ago when I got it after who knows how many rounds and range trips.

I just ordered the Player V Pro in Grey, almost went blue, but I wear a lot of blue so changed it up. Love all the magnetic pockets it has.

I didn’t have the IV so I can’t give a comparison, but I find these to be really comfortable walking.
