Think I may just be calling it and grabbing an all black standard Hoofer as i'm pretty let down with colors. $237 from Carl's can't really be beat. I would EASILY go Hoofer Lite 'Tour' with the Ping website exclusive color-way if the lite just came with 5 dividers, but nope. Honestly wish the STD Hoofer came with a 6 way but now i'm just getting picky. Lots of good deals going around right now for Black Friday.

Does Ping come out with mid-season limited one off colorways with the Hoofer? Debating waiting for a better option as these colors stink lol

They do some, but not too many. 

 

I'm waiting for next year and expecting a bigger bag overhaul with a lot of new options.

You have more faith than me. I don’t think they tweak it much at all. It’s a super popular bag as is even with the known tangle issue

I agree. I'm still waiting to see the Dark Green Hoofer and the Heather Green Hoofer Lite in person before I make my decision. Do you think that light grey will get dirty fast?

The bulk of the bag is platinum white which is a duller white.  I have always used darker bags for fear of looking dirty, but I am going to try this one and ScotchGard the daylights out of it.

 

I saw the Heather green lite and not a fan at all.  I have not seen the green/navy Hoofer in person yet either.

Got the tour hoofer yesterday. Here are my initial thoughts:

 

- it’s definilty more hoofer than a ‘tour’ bag. The vinyl feels great and the pockets are very well placed, much sturdier than the lite, and the clubs definitely do not tangle up as much. I like it much better than the previous gen hoofer tour. 
 

-Not boojie at all compared to the linkslegend, gfore, etc. 
 

-I’m really happy they have it as a no logo, very minimalist, concealed pockets, lots of room. I’m a ping homer, but no ping clubs in play at the moment, only playing 11 clubs right now before building up a new set. Might be why it feels spacious and less tangle. 
 

- I don’t like how the handle can be felt on my back when walking with it. Not much but felt it. Perhaps it’ll get better. 
 

- worried that the two water bottle pockets, magnets are not that strong.

I was a bit disappointed they went with “Vessel” style water bottle holders; the standard Hoofer water bottle holder is about perfect.

Does anyone happen to know if the 2025 Ping DLX has a removable/customizable pocket? It doesn't look like it from what I can see online, but wanted to check with those that may have seen it.

I think they could have knocked off a little weight just having one water bottle pocket. Perhaps a smaller ball pocket. The legs are metal, so definitely some carbon fiber there would help.

I am Digging this!!  thanks for posting.  I have been in search of a new bag, my ping 2022 no logo is junk, i like the room and pockets but im not in love with it so have been searching for something better.  i have looked hard a vessel but im not that impressed for the price.  have always been a ping hoofer fan, normally i has access to order thru a shop and get a custom bag.  All i want is a logo free bag and this ticks all the boxes!!  but i really do like the new 2025 hoofer in the Blue camo.  I like the pocket on the side instead of 2 water bottle pockets.

no problem! Morton Golf had the bag to my house in 3 days, with tax and shipping included in the price.

pretty dang east to carry. I lowered the straps a bit more and was more comfortable. Laying the bag down in the trunk it just looks taller hoofer than it replaced. There is a little grab handle incorporated in the ball pocket, never noticed that on the new bags 😅

still happened, too early to tell on improvement. I haven’t had it on a golf cart yet, and will be at 11 clubs for another month or so. standard grips. 
 

I can’t recall yet, me pulling out an iron that actually tugged another one out with it though. That’s a plus.

Anyone had the chance of testing the new base inside the ping hoofer bag. Wonder if it will help with club tangle.

It is a great mystery to me why Ping has yet to come out with a hybrid bag; larger size, but with a stand and designed to fit well on push and electric carts.  These are common now (Titleist, Callaway, Sun Mt, Big Max), but Ping hasn't entered that market.

It’s bigger and has a stand, but the stand legs come all the way to the top of the bag.  The bags marketed as “hybrids” have some offset between the top of the legs and the top of the bag so that they fit better on a push or electric cart.

Gotcha, I've never had a push cart.  Always stick to lightweight carry bags.

It does not.

 

The Pioneer does but not the DLX.

 

The DLX does however have two "deployable" shoe bags on the back that took me awhile to even find but once I did I'm not too sure how practical they are.

 

Still can't decide if I want to keep the DLX or swap it for the Pioneer which is what I've used for as long as they've been available.  

 

Unfortunately, and as has been discussed above regarding other models of Ping bags the color options for the Pioneer absolutely suck.

 

I do think that they improved the DLX significantly however so it's a tough call for me but since there's over a foot of snow on the ground I've got plenty of time to decide.
