Ballnamic accuracy

I've tried Ballnamic and each time with everything I put in it throws up Bridgestone B X and Chrome Tour both are 96 and 96.4%. I've played both of these balls and They to me just do not seem to be that close in comparison. Just wondering If ballnamic is really that accurate to throw those 2 out as 1 and 2 that many times?

I've gone down the rabbit hole pretty far and I've been happy with my results. The caveat is that i dont think people are going to follow my lead, sorry i advance.... I use my ball for the testing on the #1 tee box for driver and then in the fairway for my 7iron with my GCMax. I usually hit 10-ish balls. That's been my best route. ***I do this in the evening when there's no one around***

I think the levels of importance you put on wind, greenside spin, iron playability make a big difference and most people usually hit the generic button of being in the middle. Which spits out mainly Chrome Tour and BX recommendations. I took these numbers and worked backwards from the green... i wanted more spin on the greenside, more wind resistance. Once i cranked those up it spit out Chrome Tour X. I used Chrome Soft X last year and was disappointed with the Tour X, lost some distance, too much spin on full shots, ball flight too high. I plugged in Chrome Soft X as my "go-to ball" and it came back as #1. I bought a bunch on discount and havent looked back.

The other thing i've noticed is that Titleist balls do not perform well in the wind. So if you keep to moderate to high on wind... they get dropped down the list. Iron workability is a big one that i think people lower the importance... ProV1x is high workability, so that one drops. Long story short, how you rank your importance matters... Everyone has their own grading scale and it's really hard to rate all these different variables. When you pick the middle options, it'll keep spitting out the low spin, good in the wind golf balls that have medium spin.

Don't know if it helps... I think Ballnamic data is awesome, it's not a perfect rating system IMO.

I did even try it with making those most important, The B X and Chrome tour are still the top 2 for me. Now I will have to admit the Chrome Tour may very well be the best ball I've ever played. The B X though I just can't tell is anywhere close to it for me. I've never tried the Chrome Soft series.

I had read about a lot of people getting Bridgestone as a suggested ball, so when I decided to try Ballnamic, I was curious to see what it gave me.  I hit the ball high with a lot of spin, so I was looking for was something that would cut down on spin off the driver and irons, but still retain some spin around the greens.  I used three of my five runs, varying parameters a bit between them, and not a Bridgestone in sight.  The main thing I didn't change was "flyer prevention" which I set to "I don't care" or whatever the option is for them to ignore that, so maybe that is the secret sauce for getting Bridgestone?

Either way, a key thing to keep in mind is that they won't necessarily give you four balls that are just variations on a theme... they'll try to match up your requests with what different balls can do.  So, if you say you want the absolute best wind ball and maximum spin around the greens, there might not be one ball that can achieve that.  As a result, one of your recommended balls might be good in the wind while the other matches the high spin request.  For what it is worth, I've played with a few of my recommended balls and found that my on course observations match the Ballnamic results pretty darn well.

I've tried it 5 different ways and it Threw up the B X as one of top two 4 out of the 5 times. It gave me Prov1x one time. And the other 4 were Chrome Tour. But as I've said I've played all 3 of these Balls and they All work good for me so I think there are some reasonable Stock to be put into it.

While the model is backed by robotic test data, it is still just a model based on user survey inputs (which I would imagine do not always align with reality). Definitely a good starting point to narrow down choices for personal on course testing, but not sure if this provides enough additional value over other free resources to justify the cost.
