LAB's "Press Grip" on a regular putter.

Id like to try putting with a forward press. I feel like forward pressing helps my shoulders rock a little better while producing a little more pace in my putts. Helps my wrist not break down too early too it seems. Ive had success in the past but i remember i was delofting too much. The LAB's Press Grip will give you that forward press feeling without the delofting. Am i correct ??

It'll still de-loft it unfortunately. What type of putter do you play? You could have it bent to add loft to offset the forward press. If you feel the trigger motion of pres is the reason you putt better, you could add loft to the putter without a press grip to solve your problem. If you feel you putter better with a forward leaning shaft but don't need the trigger motion then more loft with a press grip is a great idea.

I'm playing a Wide Blade putter at the moment with a full shaft offset. Seems like every option requires adding loft.

 

So how much loft is the 3* degree Press Grip taking away ?? I believe i have 4deg loft on the putter.

Would it be possible to install a Press Grip the wrong way around? So the forward facing side facing the back. Shouldn't that place your hands further ahead without delofting the putter too much?

Wouldn't necessarily get the hands in front but would change the orientation of the hands if that makes sense. But this is a good idea!

Arm-Lock Golf makes an off bore grip called the converter that adds 2-3* forward press without changing the loft. They have been out for probably 10yrs or so. I will let you know the grips are heavy and will create a counter balance effect. But they are fairly cheap and might be worth the chance to see if you like it. I think the smaller one you may like is the black/red one that has a Cameron golo in the picture with it. I have a couple of the really really big grips and I believe Arm-Lock Golf was the first company to make an off center bore grip

nah. too heavy.

If you feel you want the hands in a pressed position but not the shaft, the left handed press is a good call by the fellow above

yes im deciding. My brain is just not fully computing how its going to look and feel 😂.

I feel like I'm complicating things as opposed to just bending the loft, then i can press all i want.

What if you just put a regular super stroke on a LAB DF3? Does that mess up the effective loft?
