This was a predictable release. If they would have done a short top line like on some of the circle t options I probably would have tried to snag one.

I agree. The bottom looks good but the rest is ugly. He should have put the short sightline on it and softened the edges, just like all of the tour ones everyone has been raving about

People will buy it for the shape alone, since its the putter du jour they cant get from Scotty.

I am not a mallet guy, so maybe that crowd will love it, but it looks horrible to me.  Predict that this one will be less popular than the Champs Choice a few years ago.  If so, then it can fill a niche for people to get a Holiday putter at/near retail.

 

Anybody else nostalgic for when the Holiday putters had something to do with winter?  Snowflakes, snowmen and candy canes were cool to me.  Maybe H stands for Halloween now?

Looked solid until the alignment lines. I feel like no one is asking for that alignment and you almost never see it on tour. 
 

Also my OCD can’t handle the middle orange line on the alignment line but on the face the orange line isn’t the middle.

For that price you could buy a stock 9 and have it sent in to a putter shop and get a better looking 9.2 back.

Not my intention to defend pricing and actually don’t like this offering. The site line kills it for me. 
But, not only am I certain that when I see the price posted that ppl are gonna “hate” and make jokes. I’m also certain they will sell out at said price. So as always, my tagline in regard to Scotty is:

They will 100% sell out.  I kind of like the Sacks Parente stripes on black heads.  Eye catching for sure.

With the new pricing I think the days of that level of selling after are over.  I think some models maybe. But look at the champions choice and some of the more recent ones.  
 

yes Scottys hold value better than any and they don’t often lose you money, but I think it’s different now.

Probably pricing out the flippers, the big collectors will still buy and the ones I'm that no man's land kinda left to dry again. 

 

Seems like the days of buying like crazy are over for many.

The climate for flipping has changed quite a bit from the peak a few years ago.  Apparel and gear don't get all purchased online anymore by flippers.  Sure, it still happens, but a 2022 My Girl could sell for $2500-3000 and this year was more like $1300.  Shirts and towels don't really sell above retail.  Mallets never sold as well as blades on the secondary market.  My guess is that this one will be more like the CC other than folks who buy every Holiday putter to put in a display case.

 

The vintage stuff can still command a high price tag.

 

Some people don't know that the climate has changed and there will probably be some of these on eBay next week for $3k that collect dust.

I bought a 6.2 and you can get a new one now for $100 less than MSRP.

Genuine question, where are you finding a 6.2 brand new, in bag for $700? PGASS, 2nd Swing and GG are sold out.

Pretty sure any LE scotty is popular just depends how much they make cause rarely a loss.

My Girl, Holiday are much smaller production numbers than limited releases.  Local club by me still has a brand new Jet Set and a pair of the Triple Black from this year.  Their Holiday and My Girl likely were by silent auction weeks before they arrived.

 

Around Denver, Holiday and My Girl will still get flipped.  Not much success with the 3B models earlier this year and they sold on the message board or marketplace for at/below retail save for a few early sales.  Something like the CC sell for $100-150 less than retail with the tags still on - this is not common.

 

I know people who collect every My Girl, Holiday and other super limited releases when they collab with outside entities like French Laundry.  They collect some of the Japanese releases too.  The guys that I know will not usually buy a normal limited release unless they want to game it or just like it - not an auto buy.  The Catalina and Santa Fe this year were interesting since they had not been released in quite some time, but the CC was just another retread to most of them.  Collectors will pay up.  They also do a lot of trading, so this does not help flippers.

Sooooo, I walked into a local PGASS this morning right after it opened to look at the LABs and there were about 10 people milling around and someone asked me if I'd like to enter a drawing for a Scotty Cameron...I said sure, why not...They drew a ticket and it wasn't me, come to find out that person declined after realizing they would need to pay for the putter...So, the store did a second drawing, and it wasn't me either, the second winner declined as well after finding out how much it was...Onto a third drawing, and needless to say, that person didn't decline the opportunity to purchase the putter...Now I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I thought it would be cool to grab a limited edition Scotty for giggles...🤷‍♂️

My local shop had one for me and I jumped on the offer. I always liked this head design but didn't like the two lines. The three lines on this one don't bother me as much.  Another thing that was surprising to me was this putter is almost face balanced.  Im not a flipper so my plan is to play it.  Far as the orange goes..... good thing I am a Vols fan

I really enjoy the top line alignment, bummed I didn’t see this on GolfGalaxy in time. Got lucky with the My Girl though so can’t complain too much.

Wouldn't be surprised if these are going for $700 new in a few months.  A design only a mother could love, yikes.
