You can get a 50 degree AW or GW, but regular wedges feel a bit different. I might go for a AW in ZXi as I prefer my PW (46) now to my GW (50) and the turf interaction with my wedges isn't always as good...

My mixed set arrived today.  I went with ZXiU 2-iron, ZXi4 5-iron, then ZXi5 6-AW.  These are replacing ZX5 MKii 5-AW with the same shafts, so I am looking forward to testing them out.  Upon arrival, I am blown away by how well the ZXi4 and ZXi5 blend together.  The ZXiU is super clean, too.  I am planning on hitting them tonight on the sim and will take them to the course tomorrow.

All I can add is these irons are advertised.  So soft but powerful.  Only problem I can see is there is still snow in spots.

Took about 50 swings with the ZXi5 7i demo head today and I’ve never seen the number “174” so many times in one session. The consistency was really really impressive. 

 

They look really good, feel really good (better than the previous generation) and seem to perform really well too. 

 

I tried it with a KBS C-Taper 110S and a Nippon Tour 105X and both shafts performed very similarly for me. Hit a little bit more of a cut with the Nippon. Kept seeing the same shot shape and distances and by no means am I a phenomenal iron player. Irons are the weakest part of my game.

If anyone has the ZXI7 gap wedge can they post a picture or two please, the Srixon site doesn't show the wedge in great detail. Keen to see how they relate to standard wedge size and looks etc. Still waiting for mine to arrive.

Great to hear on the blending. I currently have 5-AW in ZX5 and was thinking of the same setup you have (minus the 2 iron). Keep us posted on your thoughts after you play them please.

I went out to our 10th hole today just to hit some shots with the 7,8 and PW.   
 Man they felt great and the 4’s launch really high.   
 

But you’re right about the snow, this would have been a tough birdie putt 😬

At least you can see grass. This is what I am dealing with lol. Not quite Colorado numbers but 60” in 48 hours. Come on Spring!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Yeah.  I was able to hit the driver and irons…as long as they didn't go right.   This was literally the lie of one of the shots that went right.  It was aboit 5 yards off the green. 
 

Hope your recovery is speedy.

Thank you for finally being the person that actually matches the CBX’s wedges to the 5 series irons, vs everyone else that goes into a blade wedge….

I’m all about making the game as easy as possible.  Won the CBX’s in a WRX giveaway and couldn’t believe how great they were.  Never would’ve tried them honestly, and am so glad I did.

True spec did a comparison. Very similar numbers on the 7.

Denver here, 59 today, and mid-60's thru next Wednesday - I got 2 rounds lined up.

Michael Newton Golf has his ZXi iron review up and he waxes poetic calling them the best feeling irons he's ever hit.  (the zxi7).

 

I hit them again yesterday and couldn't tell too much diff between these and the prior.  AND THAT'S NOT A BAD THING.

I’ve watched this a few times but it seems the ZX5 Mk2 is higher and more spiny than ZXi5 while ZX7 Mk2 is lower and less spiny than ZXi7. It contradicts some of my other research too so I’m wondering if anyone did their own comparisons too.

I am very close to ordering a ZXi 4 iron utility. Just waiting on a few more orders to trickle in and then I'll have some stuff to trade-in for credit.  I hit it in Japan a few months ago and it was great. Hopefully, this will scratch the Srixon itch for me.

If I ever get my clubs, I’ll let you guys know how they compare to my blueprint S’s. FedEx being FedEx, they were supposed to be here yesterday and they were delayed a day (as every shipment with them is) and when I pulled up the tracking, they are now randomly two states away from me. I don’t know how any major logistics company can be worse at logistics…….
