Stunning. I see a lot of pros throwing these in the bag, esp at the top end.

Here are the 8 iron and PW (in that order)...  I was holding the club in my non dominant hand and using the dominant hand to take the picture so alignment might not be 100% spot on.. also and had it setup like I normally would at address with a bit of shaft lean.... setup might not be what you are looking for so if you need something with no shaft lean (straight on like the random 7 iron you gave as an example), let me know and I'll re-take.

8 iron first, followed by PW

Txbadger, would you say the shape of the topline from the tip of the toe down into the hosel transitions into a direct line more than a rounded crescent type of shape? Historically that’s one of the characteristics I’ve loved the most about a Srixon irons. Can’t tell from your picture if the short irons in this ZXi line have a more rounded topline versus a direct line and transition into the hosel versus previous iron lines (i.e. Z785) or if it’s just the angle the picture was taken from?

Happy to help... but not entirely sure I can answer it.   I'm not familiar with the Z785 but can say the transition looks the same as on the ZX5mkII.    Here are a couple of pics of the topline of the 9 iron.   Hope this helps... if a certain angle would help over these, let me know.

Not sure that's true in practice. I was chatting just yesterday* to a very good clubfitter who has built multiple ZX MkII sets with both SteelFibers and Axioms and he said he felt the overall performance was very closely comparable in the equivalent weights.

(* And the reason I was chatting to him is because he is going to make me a blended set of ZXi5/ZXi7 with Axiom 75 to replace my set of ZX5 MkII with Steelfiber i80cw. I got great results going from KBS Tour to the SteelFibers, but don't love love the feel, as @Mob said.)

I played the 95 Stiff in Steelfiber and the 105 Stiff in the Axiom.  The launch and spin is pretty similar between the 2 for me.  Maybe a minor difference.  The Steelfibers are alittle stiff to flex, so the weight difference kind of cancels out any meaningful difference between the 2.

Going to go the other way. Have the i80cw Steelfibers right now, which are 85g in stiff. Axiom 75 in stiff will be 78g I think. Have had nothing but good results from going lighter so far, but there's probably a tipping point.

Any experience with or pics of the zxi4’s?

Yep. Played a demo set of my reps.  That is one of the main reasons i went 4/5 combo.  The 4’s look great and felt great.  And the few extra yards didn’t hurt.

How much different are they in appearance than the 5s at address?

is the chrome and finish of the beads the same?

He didn’t have the 5’s with him to compare. But compared to my Mki 5’s they weren’t dramatically different in size.

I went from SF i95 to i80 this year. Great results. I'm very curious about Axiom 75. Please share your thoughts once you get them. If they are as stable, they'll be next on the golf lab list.

I’m a 55 yo with an 18 handicap and a somewhat slowish swing at around 78-80. I went in for a fitting for some new irons a couple of days ago and going in I thought the Cleveland Zipcore XL would be the one. For me the results were not so good with inconsistent numbers. I also tried the Mizuno hm 925HL, Titliest t350 and Srixon ZXi4’s. To cut a long story short, my dispersion was the best with the Srixons. Best feeling was a tie between the ZXi4’s and the T350. The Mizunos had the best descent angle which was expected given the higher lofts. With the Srixons, my 7 iron was getting a descent angle between 38 and 43 but they had consistently the best distance (and tightest dispersion). I’m going to retest again soon and it will most likely be between the Mizunos and the Srixons (with the Srixons starting as favourite). The Srixons do look awesome though and far better than the Mizunos.

Some good choices there

A suggestion, you can always order the ZXi with a 1* weaker loft.  It will help increase spin and give you a slightly better descent angle.  Both of which will help the stopping power.

Yes, that is a good idea. I’ll wait to retest both irons and take it from there.

Does anyone have sole/top-line/address comparison pics for the ZXi7 to the P7CB or know where to find them if already compared? Obviously expecting the ZX to be larger, just not sure by how much... I've read a ton, but are the soles ACTUALLY thicker compared to the MkII, or are they measuring differently this time around?

*If you saw this before my edit, I got clarification on the lengths from the 2024 thread after some research.

Just got my ZXi5's today.  First thing I noticed was that the soles "looked" smaller (as in width)....thought that can't be as many are concerned that they increased the sole with.   This was as I was just taking them out of the box, so I grabbed a 7 iron of the previous gen, which I've played all year for comparison.    I then decided to take a measurement and as far as increase in sole dimension... well, there isn't much in it.  The difference you see is .007" and is most likely operator based than actual difference.    I made a few measurements by myself and many were the same, but thought I'd grab some pictures so recruited mrs Txbadger for the assist.

The picture side by side isn't a great angle but I think the beveling on the ZXi's gave me the impression of a smaller sole as it is wider sole to back and is more noticeable to my eye around the toe.
