Indian Ridge/Oakley

I recently moved up to the area and work remotely for a firm in another part of the country. I am looking to join a country club and Indian Ridge or Oakley seem like the perfect match for me in terms of distance from my house and most importantly how I’d use my membership. I am wondering if anyone here is a member of either and if you could speak to the quality of the facilities, how welcoming and part of the community you feel, and the availability of tee times and flexibility of use. I think it goes without saying I am an avid golfer (my H.I. is 8.5) and would like to play at least 3 or 4 times a week (combination of full 18 on weekends and 9 holes or so before/after work) as well as using the practice facilities pretty much everyday. I am also hoping the club would be my social outlet as I hardly know anyone here. My wife has absolutely no interest in golfing, but would use the pool.

I realize there are waitlist, but Is this a matter of trying to connect with the right people to get in sooner or is everyone just batched together? Also, do you need sponsorship from current members? Being so new to the area I really don’t know anyone, and the few I have asked don’t know any members.

Those are two of the easier places to get in around Boston. If you called the membership coordinator they'd likely lay out the details for you. Oakley clubhouse just had a fire... so dont know the status of their facilities.

Thanks! I have spoken to Indian Ridge, and am waiting to hear back from Oakley. I’m just curious if people have found these clubs living up to their expectations when they first joined. I don’t want to commit to a club only to discover that I can’t get a tee time before 1 pm because legacy members are sitting on all the prime tee times or the community aspect only applies if you grew up in the area/at the club.
