I have hit the Elyte (std) head in the simulator.  It’s sneaky good looking and performance is A+… this will be a good selling iron at $999.99 in steel.  I hit the 7-iron… it’s high launching and fast.

They are strong lofted and low spinning but better than last years STD. smoke.  The price is right on these, maybe not for the Wrx’ers on this thread but still an improvement. I hope to sell a lot of them.

They look like plastic chrome details on a £100 k Audi.

 

Absolutely puzzles me how a company can spend all that money om R&D and come out with this. Just odd.

In person they look pretty good, maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but I think for the mass market they will be appreciated.

 

The detailing on them makes them look more “high end” in my opinion than the previous Ai Smoke irons.

Better chance? Definitely. Callaway always  makes quality irons. They just look a little different sometimes. This looks pretty good IMO.

Good looking iron, probably plays solid too. Now, whoever signs off on Callaway's "name the next lineup of clubs" should probably be reassigned.

Yeah maybe from an outside perspective, but Srixon's quality and quality control is worlds apart from anything Callaway.  Not a biased opinion, speaking from much experience in the past.  Titleist makes some great clubs, but their finishes leave a lot to be desired.  They don't last long at all on their irons especially.  Not to mention price...these (Elyte's) are cheap for many reasons and none of them are good.

 

I will say that just from a looks perspective the Elyte's do look pretty good, way better than the past iterations.
